La Shish Greek Mediterranean — Restaurant in Allen

Horribly disappointed. Horrible. I have ordered from and eaten here numerous times. This time I ordered the Family Dinner Delight for 4 people online for $99. It said it came with spinach pies. The order was supposed to be ready in 30 minutes. When we got there 35 minutes later, they said they “accidentally” gave our order to someone else. So we wait another 20 minutes. When I get home, I see that there are no spinach pies. I called the restaurant 3 times and there was no answer. I had to drive back with 15 minutes until closing. Once inside, I explained what happened. I was told that spinach pies were not included in the Family Dinner. I showed him online that it was. He told me that it changed and the website wasn’t updated. I asked for the pies. He did not want to give them to me and told me he just worked there and had to call the owner. OK. I looked at the in house menu. The same order showed no pies, but was $89, $10 less than what I paid online. I politely pointed that out. I don’t think he even understood what I said. So I eventually left with 3 pies for a dinner for 4 and paid $10 for 3 pies. I know it seems crazy to make such a big deal about spinach pies, but that’s really not what it was about. The service was super slow, the staff was rude and argued with me, and I left with less than what I paid for. Next time I’ll go to Demassi’s down the road. La Shish lost me as a customer. I should have received better service for a $100 takeout order and I even left a tip when I ordered. On another note, I don’t know why takeout/delivery requests a tip before service has even been rendered. It should be an option for adding...

Giving it a 4* overall based on food only.

The atmosphere was weird. It could have been because we were there at 5pm and the only customers at the time. We saw 2 takeout orders and 2 more families joined during our time there.

The waitress/hostess was the same person. No other staff except the cook in the back. Her demeanor seemed to be disinterested in serving us. No eye contact and not friendly or outgoing. Menus and water seemed almost dumped on our table with no verbal exchange at all. She couldn't wait to get back to her phone while she stared at laughing and smiling (so I know she's capable of smiling). She got my son's order incorrect and never came back to check on us. I had to get up and tell her to correct it.

The food, very good. We had spicy hummus with pita. I would have preferred a bit more spicy but it was very tasty. I would have asked but she never came back until she brought our meals. My son ordered a wrap with a salad and it came with fries, no salad. The salad was brought after we let her know and he was happy with it. Garlic sauce was really REALLY good according to my son and he loved the dressing on the salad. I had a Greek salad with chicken. My dressing tasted slightly different from my son's (greek vs side salad) but both had great flavor.

I'd order from them but likely not...

Hello, Here is our review for this restaurant. Let start with saying that food is amazing in this place, if you are a fan of Mediterranean, Greek this food is good and on point. 4 stars on service because we were approached without a smile or a hi or how are you? ect .. they didn't have eggplant dip on the menu and when we order was just said we don't have that .. We recieve our food and no one ever checked back with us till we left. Drinks were empty . (We were served cans). Over charged for a can of coke if you dont offered seconds, So as we think place have a potential if servers are a little bit showing that they are liking what they are doing , or be more enthusiastic about offering a service. Credit card charge machine has to show a recipt with tip to be able to leave tip to the server. We left tip in a bowl by the register and because we didn't have the right amount of cash we under tip. Athmosfere, decoration was outdated, mostly plastic flowers ..the place smelled like Pinesol very strong . We seen the they just recently moped the floor cause floor signs were present but the smell was very strong and somehow distracted from the meal. We will go back again in the near future and we will give another review. Hope this place become a spot to go for Mediterranean...
