Buyers beware!!! Steer clear of this store. I went into the Alpharetta store in October 22 and ordered over 15k in furniture. One desk and 6 dining chairs. The chairs were special order and I was advised of an estimated date of 1/13/23. Ok that was fine. I was told that the desk was in stock and that it would be delivered well before Thanksgiving so I paid the deposit to get the order started. A few days later the store called asking me for more money because they had not told me the correct amount. So ok, I paid it. Knowing that I purchased a desk I got rid of my desk because the sales associate gave me a date for my desk to be delivered. Weeks past and no desk. I called the stores and the sales associate was oblivious to what she had told me and said that the desk was not in the Atlanta office and she had to find out where it was and that the warehouse would be the one to call me to set up the delivery. Well no one every called me back so I escalated to the store manager. After speaking with him he assured me that he would take care of it and speak with the warehouse and have them call me as well ensure that I received a discount for my troubles. At this point I’m working for home at my kitchen table for weeks!!!!! The warehouse calls me back stating they could not find the desk and would call me once they located it. Well apparently they never located because no one from the warehouse called me back and I had to call back to the retail store which was a joke. I was routed to my original sales associate that gave me the same information that the warehouse provided. What a joke. Weeks later the desk was located and delivered right before Christmas. Present day I still have no dining chairs and was told mid February 23 for an order placed in October 22. Hence no discount ever applied to my account based on what the store manager Steven told me. I should have went with Restoration Hardware at least they follow up and give...
Read moreHigh Prices and Low Customer Service - It used to be said that if a company had high prices then you should be able to expect high levels of customer service. Conversely, if a company had low prices then the customer service is commensurate with prices. The theory being that customers would be willing to sacrifice service for price. Hence Walmart vs something like Neiman Marcus. Arhaus apparently doesn't prescribe to that theory as I personally experienced and now can see from other reviews that my experience was pretty typical. My wife and I ordered a dining room table for about $1400.00 in April. They said we would have it no later than by late May. Late May came and went. They didn't call us to tell us that it was going to be late. In fact, we called them in to find out when we were going to get it, and now they were telling us July. Early July at the latest. Well it's early July and while I think it would be a good idea for them to let us know if they are going to make their commitment, we still have to chase them trying to find out where our $1400.00 dining table is. I have given them every opportunity to dig themselves out of the hole they dug for themselves, but they don't seem capable of doing any thing about our experience. I might even to so far as to say they don't really seem to care. They don't care that a customer ordered a dining room table, with no custom anything being done to it, that they told a customer it was going to be 8 weeks when in fact it has been 16 weeks, that they took my $1400.00 back in April.
Bottom line. - good, relatively expensive furniture. But, about the worst customer service I have ever seen. I will never buy any thing from this store again and when people tell me how much they like our new dining room table, I will tell them that the process of buying something from Aurhaus is not worth the frustration. This company needs a overhaul of...
Read moreWow!!! That's all I can say. So after ordering over $17K in furniture from the Avalon location in August, we were told that delivery would take 13 weeks. While this was not what we preferred, we accepted it and were also told to "check back often as delivery dates always move up!" In late September we were back in the store looking for additional items and my wife went to the counter to check to see if delivery had improved. When she returned I knew something was wrong. She said she had never been treated like that before. Apparently one of the "managers" barked at her that you were just in last week and NOTHING had changed. While I was not happy about the way she was spoken to, I wrote it off as someone having a bad day. Fast forward to mid November. I went with my wife to check on our order status and had a lovely lady helping me when another associate overheard our conversation and abruptly said "I just sent you your order information to both of you!" I was taken back by her tone and replied that I didn't receive anything from her or anyone at Arhaus. I was so taken back by her attitude and curtness that I wasn't even paying attention when the first associate was telling me that now the items would not be available until January. Again, ordered in August and quoted a late October delivery. We then told the "rude" associate as apparently she was our representative that we would likely be canceling that order. Her response was "Well you won't find anything else anywhere. Unless you shop at Homegoods!!" This place has the worst customer service I have ever experienced anywhere. If you want to be treated like garbage and over pay for product that will take 3-6 months to arrive. Then...
