1st visit was 5 stars! Located in Altamonte Springs, very close to where I live, open later than most of the surrounding smoke shops, making it very convenient for me, personally. I arrived about ten minutes before they closed. I was in a desperate situation for a shop close by and, obviously, was still open. I am an avid baker, and found myself in an unanticipated (& inconvenient) vape emergency: My tank's glass shattered after I dropped it on the tile (kind of a habit of mine-needs work, in a big way). Therefore, I was also robbed of the very last drops of vape juice. I would have been able to get through the night, seeing as I had JUST filled my tank before dropping it to its death. The employees surprised me by welcoming me inside and allowing me to take my time to find what I needed. I appreciate their patience, helpfulness, and friendliness, despite it being a Saturday night, &, I would assume, their desire to get off of work on time & enjoy their weekend! Their service resulted in my purchase of all of the vape products I was in need of, and then some. Everything was priced pretty fairly and the selection of vape juices and devices was great. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to look at all of their glass, but what I did see was good quality and good prices.
2nd Visit: Not as great. The guys working were very rude to me and the two people I was with. Especially because I spent over $250 on glass, vape products, lighters, a scale, and several other high-ticket items, I expected at least a little respect and to have a little knowledge about their jobs to answer my questions (or, at least, have the decency to acknowledge that I had ASKED a question!). Whoever was working sold me a broken water pipe for $150 with "no returns", even though I wasn't allowed to check out the glass up close before purchasing it. They wouldn't let me touch it, or even put it on the counter in front of me, & then raced me out of the store. I decided to take a chance, considering I had much better luck on my previous visit. I was disappointed.
MOST RECENTLY: Gave the store another shot after several months of avoiding it. There were different employees working this time, and I can't say I'm surprised. They were much more respectful and knowledgeable about their inventory. I had plenty of time to check out their extensive glass selection, and although the slides were slightly overpriced, they had plenty to choose from and they were all high quality. They also have local artists as well as designer labels in the glass cases in the middle of the store, which are beautiful, but at a cost, and rightly so. But, you can find great glass pieces for great prices behind the counters, where the 'cheaper' brands are. But you won't have to sacrifice quality for a lower price. I walked out with a beautiful beaker bottom that the sales associate recommended after I chose a similar one by the same brand, but didn't realize the thickness of the glass until he showed me the slightly more expensive, but DEFINITELY better quality piece that I ended up choosing without hesitation. I can't remember his name, but he had dark hair and was extremely attentive and informative. Both employees were respectful, welcoming, and helpful. I got a great deal via their rewards program. I think my previous experience was maybe just a bad day at the shop. I returned to my previous review rating and would recommend this shop for all of your vape and...
Read moreThe staff is great but I’ve been coming to this shop for years and have been carded enough times, that the staff should know my license by heart. The excuse was always the camera is looking. Finally it stopped because well it’s not only obvious that I’m well over the age of 25 but my license has been seen enough times for all staff to confirm I’m old enough to buy any of their products. I moved from Altamonte Springs to Winter Park and despite the distance, made the drive JUST because of the staff and the relationship I built with them. But when I came in today, I was carded before I could even look at anything. This was the last straw. I don’t care that an undercover officer came in. I’ve been coming here for years and the person who was helping me knows I’m over 40 and has been helping me for years. He shouldn’t be asking for my ID. He said it wasn’t personal, but it is because of the length of time I’ve been going there and he wasn’t a new employee. I did leave without buying anything because he carded me. It was a great 3 yrs, I will miss Pat and AJ but it’s not worth the 25 min drive, gas or money to be carded by employees who know I’m old enough. The law only requires you to card people who look under a certain age, I definitely look well over that state law, so at this point it’s the owners who are making this choice. Which is fine, my business is now...
Read moreI had a problem with what I thought was my mod or tank.I wasn't getting the hit I was used to. I went to Farenhyte Smoke Shop explained my issue. They didn't look at it or even try to help me all they kept saying was there's nothing we can do and proceed to tell me "well its time to upgrade". I walked out frustrated and felt like they weren't even willing to help me only push a new piece on me. Went down the street to their competitor and they took the time to listen to me,look at my mod and help me. They took a look at the atomizer that I told the I normally use. He found out that the atomizer that was in there was not the size I told him, sold me the 1.8 I normally use and it totally fixed my issue. Just by taking the time and looking at it and listening to me instead of pushing me into a new mod the competitor figured out my issue in 5 minutes and that competitor will have a life tim customer! All it takes is to listen to your customers and not make them feel like they are bothering or wasting your time. Good customer service is key to a business. I know this because my family owns a business and we never treat our customers like they don't matter or try to push something on them they may not need. I will never go back to Farenhyte Smoke...
