This heartfelt review is difficult for me because I actually attended Alvin junior high and Alvin high school off and on throughout my 12 years. I love this town. I was happy to attend this college for that precise reason. However, there were many many obstacles I went through to get my degree here. Frequently, I had to wait my opportunity cost between a poorly taught class, and a class dedicated towards my profession. This should not be happening. Two things caused this. Professors who do not calculate the time required to perform homework and assignments out of class Is one. The second cause were professors who should not be teaching at all. They are either rude, careless Or have some type of issue within their person. Every semester I had a professor like this even after referencing rate my professor. Eventually because of this college hiring so many professors with personal issues it eventually cost me my accumulative science and math GPA to fall under. Consequently, I would not qualify to enter into university science or math department. Every semester on student loans, I worked 10 hours a day for seven days a week for two years. There should have been no reason why my grades were affected. However, how a professor teaches is one of those things that an individual has absolutely no control over. Because of the poor department management and analysis of teaching from professors by administrative, I will no longer be able to pursue the group degree I intended on pursuing. As a compromise, I had to apply for graduation for a general studies associates to leave this college peacefully, and it not destroy my loan approval or potential to graduate in four years. Best degree plans for this college are governments, English, etc. Stay at another community college for science and math because these departments are seriously on organized and...

I love this college It has the most wonderful and amazing employees and I’ve never had a problem with the employees here, Since I started in 2020. Anytime I need help with something they never pass the bucket, they always help me and know what to say. If they don’t know it then they give me a recommendation on what to do. I transferred here from HCC due to so many locations, I couldn’t keep traveling everywhere to all these locations so I transferred here. I was doing very good at HCC but I was going to drop out of college because the drive to the colleges was extremely outrageous and I have panic attacks going down town due to a car crash I suffered in 2018. I love this college because where I live is only 15 minutes from my house and it’s an absolute extremely easy drive there. I’m going here for child development and my professors are always the nicest people and very supportive. The Office of Disability, such very good and kind people to their students with disabilities. I had so many issues with the disability office at HCC but here I’ve never had a problem with them. They always know what to say and how to help you better with your disability. I have ADHD and if I am ever in a classroom then the seat is reserved for me because I have to sit in the front of the class, I won’t be able to pay attention to anything the professor says if I am in the back. I am very lucky that I am at this college because it beats HCC and all its issues. I give this place more than 5 stars for its amazing job by the employees and professors. If anyone is looking for a college then come here because it’s only 1 campus and not so many locations like HCC. Come and get your studies here because you will be extremely happy...

Regret so much transferring from my community college to here. I thought since is smaller it would be more one to one with Professors.2 of my 3 professors suck. Big NO! First my online professor sucks at communicating, posting things on blackboard etc. NO COMMUNICATION. My old college we had notifications of things being posted or open on blackboard. Takes forever to reply back. Second, don’t take any science class there. They don’t even have communication between their professors. My professor didn’t even have their turninID for us to post our paper. Department didn’t even give them our first test. They had to make their own. Really? What kind of management is that? Lastly, you can’t even park reverse šŸ˜‚ $10 ticket. Does it even matter how you park if us students are there to get an education. I mean if I was parked in a faculty parking I get it. Maybe have some signs around campus that says ā€œno backup/reverse parkingā€. Only good thing about this experience is my lifespan psychology professor is awesome. Professor helps you out. Motivates you. Down to hearth. My first & last semester going to ACC. Better off at SanJac, heck even COM would probably better. FYI they charge $7 for...
