2022 Met our daughter for breakfast. Really nice to have waitresses that know you and are so friendly. Really like the vegetable omelette. The lady cook is really good. 2020 Been back several times but most always for breakfast. I have really enjoyed it. Had a a long day and late at night really wanted to go out to get something to eat and decided to try here for a late meal. Ended up ordering the chicken fried steak. Had a side salad also with the corn casserole. Wasn't really impressed with the corn casserole but the side salad was huge. When the chicken fried steak came out it was like four meals worth. There were two huge steaks smothered in gravy. It was's really good with lots of leftover for other meals. My wife had the same with the mushrooms. They were huge and lots. Really good experience again. 2019 I've never really had great experiences here though several of my friends like it. Usually the food has not been to my taste. This morning I had breakfast for the first time. The Omelette that I had was definitely very good. I would rate it one of the best and definitely the best that I've had at this location. However the people that serve the food though always seem to be depressed or unmotivated and it just isn't a very happy place for me to go. I got to add to this one and change it. I went back with my friend today. He is a regular customer there and really likes the place. His mother had passed away and so we went to have some time together. The employees there showed great compassion to him and when I went to pay the bill they had paid for our meal. I had asked for the same omelette I had the prior day and again it was tremendously delicious. It was neat to see this whole other side to the employees. Very impressed and will be going back.

If you ever find yourself passing through the charming town of Alvin, make sure to stop by the delightful Busy Bee Café—it's truly a hidden gem that will brighten your day! The moment you step inside, the cozy and welcoming atmosphere wraps around you like a warm hug, thanks to the friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The quaint décor adds a touch of charm and perfectly complements the cheerful, small-town vibe, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely breakfast, lunch, or a delightful coffee break. The menu is a joyful celebration of comfort food, featuring everything from hearty, mouthwatering omelets and fluffy pancakes to vibrant salads and scrumptious sandwiches. You absolutely can't miss their famous chicken-fried steak—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It's served with creamy gravy that takes it to the next level of deliciousness! And if you’re in the mood for something lighter, their homemade soups and fresh-baked pastries are pure bliss. Every bite at Busy Bee Café is a little piece of happiness!

Pretty good local joint in Alvin at 35 Bypass and South Gordon. They are open 24 x 7 x 365...including holidays. You dont see that very much if at all these days. Service by Melanie was 5 ⭐️s. She was spot on, attentive, chatty, and knowledgeable. Sge returned several times to make sure we were happy and not needing anything. Food was great. They DUMPED a bowl of frosting on the cinnamon roll, unless you are looking for a sugar rush from just eating frosting. We asked Melanie about it, and she said No, they served them all that way. Atmosohere was ok, nothing fancy, but nothing bad either....moose and deer heads were cool looking. All in all a decent place for a good breakfast. We will return since we are in Alvin for the next couple of months. Price to value was ok...given the economy.

As always, the food was excellent. Their Chicken Fried Steak is awesome. In 20 years I've only had 1 meal here that I didn't like and that was an appetizer of fried mushrooms. Usually those are very good but that particular day they were greasy and the waitress never brought my ranch dressing to dip them in. But that incident was over five years ago. Truly, I love this place. Even more now that they closed off the smoking section so that the smoke doesn't get to my lungs. I've been diagnosed with COPD and cigarette smoke actually burns my lungs when I breath it. Back to the review, they have handicap parking but not automatic doors so you would need someone to open the doors if your in a wheelchair or mobility device . Also, the bathrooms are very tiny. I can't imagine a wheelchair going in there either. It is clea. They have food for kids, it's also a family oriented place during the day. One of only three restaurants I believe that are open 24 hours so when the bars close at 2am, the place is usually full with hungry drunks. But between 6am and midnight, it's very family oriented. My favorite foods here are: Chicken Fried Steak Liver and Onions 1/2 Cinnamon roll (these are so big, I've never seen someone finish a whole one by themselves) Fried; mushrooms, cheese sticks, pickles, and okra. Breakfast, any of them are good. I'm from Texas but don't really care for biscuits. My family likes them though and their biscuits and gravy here, are amazing! My brother says the pork chops are really good too but I've not actually tried them myself. House Salad is always fresh.

The breakfast here are very reasonable, the other meals a little hire but you can still get a steak dinner for under $20.00. Now-a-days, it's hard to get burger combo that cheap.

Y'all really should give them a try if you're passing through Alvin, TX. They also have a location in Pearland but I don't like that one as well as Alvin's location. They have one in Santa Fe, TX also but I don't recall ever eating at that one so I couldn't speak on the quality of food or service there.

Y'all have a...

Ruined our family Christmas dinner. They don't know how to cook a steak so 2 orders had to be re-cooked at home, forgot items in our to-go order and all they could offer, was to come right back up there so they could replace 1 steak. Owner was supposed to call us back, never did. After spending over $100 and only 2 meals were edible, we sadly won't ever go back. As far as your response: learn the difference between raw and rare. Also, medium rare and raw are different. I hope everyone sees your nasty response and doesn't go to your place of business. Stick to diner easy to microwave food, you're clearly trying to cook food that's out of your league. Now that you've edited your reply again: Everything was stated when we called, including the missing sides. She offered to fix one steak out of the many things we mentioned. It took 15 minutes of my mom standing at the counter, past our 30 min designated pick up time, to be acknowledged... you think we wanted to waste more of our day waiting up there to fix 1/4 of the problem? Don't you dare try to lecture me about "the meaning of Christmas" after you trash talked me previously(which I have screenshots of your previous response 😉). YOU chose to be open on Christmas day and make your employees be away from their families, sir. Sounds like a YOU problem. You took it personally because you were in the kitchen and now need your cooking validated. Do better. You messed up, you handled it like a...
