Dear Donut Man-Alvin — Restaurant in Alvin

We've been here several times because we live close and it's convenient. Unfortunately, after several times of not being super impressed with the customer service and the coffee, and with our experience today, we will not be coming back to this establishment.

Service is almost never good at this place, and they don't like you using the coupons you get on your Kroger receipt. Today we came in to order a couple kolaches and a hot coffee and an iced caramel coffee. The lady didn't ring up the iced coffee and was quite rude about it after telling us that we didn't order it. She even reprinted the receipt and yelled at us that it was our fault. After she had finished being blatantly rude, she had the audacity to ask if we still wanted to order the iced coffee. To which we decided to just walk out.

The service and how blatantly rude they treat customers is just disgusting. The food and drink isn't even worth the price they charge to begin with. Not to mention that they bash customers here and on Facebook. I don't advise you visit this place. Maybe they'll learn to treat people with respect eventually. One can only hope. I suggest going to literally any of the other donut shops in or around alvin.

Went through the drive thru this morning to grab a coffee and breakfast, haven’t been to dear donut man in a year, and saw they offer iced coffee now. When i pulled up to the window, i asked to be sure they could make an iced caramel macchiato, to which LISA replied “we make it all the time” brushed off her rude attitude and said “okay can i get that?” And proceeded to order a SAUSAGE, egg and cheese croissant sandwich. Lisa asked “biscuit?” I said “no, croissant” she continued to ARGUE with me about what i said, saying “you said biscuit” i said “NO i said croissant SANDWICH” and asked for her name after paying so i could leave this review. Shitty attitude just for asking a simple yes or no question, i didn’t request a side of attitude with my breakfast. She didn’t even give me the right sandwich, she gave me BACON. Maybe Lisa should actually focus on doing her job correctly instead of arguing about what’s being said. I placed a large order for my company's Wednesday morning breakfast and picked it up on time and just as I ordered. The Brisket & Boudin kolaches are the only kolaches that I have tried but they are excellent. I look forward to trying more. I would suggest a jalapeno popper kolache and/or a bacon cheddar kolache. I did try the chocolate filled donut and it was the best one I have had. There was plenty of chocolate which can be disappointing when you bite into one and it is all donut with a small taste of chocolate.
