La-Z-Boy Amarillo — Local services in Amarillo

Purchased a rocker/recliner at the beginning of this year with the impression that these were built to last. A bolt broke on the base about 10 days after getting it home. I requested a refund because I bought the recliner under the impression that these were well built and I didn’t want a chair that I would be taking for repair constantly. Unfortunately the manager wouldn’t do that. I was able to get it to their repair shop (40 miles in my own vehicle each time) and had it back about a week later. 2 weeks after that had the same failure and had to take it back in for repair. Approximately 2 weeks later, same thing. This time they replaced the entire base so I had to wait a bit longer to get it back but it did last a bit longer. About 6 months with no major issues then, same break again. This time though, manager was never available to schedule more repairs, and though I left multiple messages with whomever answered the phone, I never seemed to get a call back. All repairs were covered under warranty but I ended up giving the (still broken) chair away, as I could never get ahold of somebody to get it repaired under warranty again. Good experience, they are repairing my wife's old chair under warranty & I decided to get a recliner based on their service! I hate shopping so this was a great experience. Definitely I recommend these folks & Mike Lasley in particular.

Went with my wife to see if La Z Boy had a chair that might fit me. I'm about 6'3" & other chairs head rests have hit me in the shoulders. I'm also deaf so my wife interprets things for me.

We had time to look around w/out "vultures" descending on us. I appreciate that. When we asked for help, we got Mike L. He listened to my issues/needs, asked questions & then began to introduce me to chairs that he felt would meet my needs.

He prepared a quote when we asked him & added/subtracted features I wanted (extra memory foam, no rocker, electric). He then worked out what the current sale was & was able to get the price down a little more after that.

We went home to think about it. As I had questions, I emailed him & texted throughout the week. I've been looking for some time for the right recliner.

So it was time for new furniture for the living room. It is a hard day when one is looking for furniture. There are so many stores dedicated to selling these products and like most we had a hard time creating an agenda or workable budget. We decided to start from west Amarillo and work east hitting the big stores. We began with LazyBoy where we met Jordan. Jordan pointed my wife and I in the right direction for the type of furniture we were interested in and made himself available to answer any questions while at the same time leaving us alone and not pushing us towards anything. It was clearly obvious that Jordan was more interested in making sure we were happy with our choices than in making a sell. We did continue on looking through the bigger furniture stores along I-40 and Canyon E-way, however in the end we returned to LazyBoy on Soncy. The quality and prices of the merchandise, the atmosphere of the showroom and the professionalism of the all of the employees at LazyBoy made the experience easy and enjoyable.
