Paramount Jewelers — Local services in Amarillo

I am NOT happy with this company. They have made what is supposed to be one of the best experiences of my life very upsetting. STORY: My now fiancé and I went ring looking the middle of November. We found a bridal set at Paramount jewelers that I was in love with. The lady who helped us let me try it on and she also sized my finger (size 4). He went back and bought it that day while I was at work. About a week later they called him saying it was ready to pick up. He went to get it on Black Friday. When he got home and opened the box it was only the engagement ring, not the wedding band. Our understanding was that it was a set. He called the next day and was told they would call back later that day but the person working didn’t ask for a name nor a callback number. After not receiving a call, he called again that evening before they closed. He was informed that the wedding band, having a delicate design, had to be sent to “home office” for resizing. This is information that should have been relayed during the ring pickup. Not being in a rush for the wedding band we were fine with it. After a week they called saying it was ready. He was not able to pick it up so I did. The lady let me try it on and it was too big. She sized it and it was a 5. So it needed to be resized. I told her it is supposed to be a 4 and she said she would send it back. Again, no rush for the wedding band. That day I asked her twice to make sure that BOTH rings were put in the system to be size 4 and she reassured me that the engagement ring was a 4 because it was done at a different office than the wedding band. We were told they would call us to let us know the wedding band is ready in about a week. He never received a call within about three weeks. He decided that he would go in and ask after the holidays. Well my fiancé proposed to me January 1st and the engagement ring did not fit. We went to the store that day and the ring is a 4.5.. not a 4. They will have to send it back and I ask how long it will take because no woman wants to be engaged and have to surrender her ring. I was informed only a week so I agreed to let them send it off. When we asked about the wedding band we were told the same thing, that they were having trouble resizing it because of the delicacy and we weren’t given a time slot this time. I go in a couple of days later to check and the wedding band was ready. I try it on and it fits! But it’s not the design that I ordered. Maybe they had to change the design because it was so hard to work with but they probably shouldn’t sell a ring they can’t resize. My hopes are that I do get my engagement ring back within the week and in the correct size so I don’t have to deal with this...

Paramount is a good jewelry store to visit if you’re looking for flashy stylish rings at a great price. They have a great selection, different shapes, sizes, and colors. The two women that helped us were very attentive and patient. The reason I took off a star was only because we had an issue before with the company they finance through and also because when we ordered my ring, they said it would only take a couple of weeks to come in and it took two months. Luckily, our wedding isn’t until July, so it wasn’t a big issue, however no one from the store checked on the ring to see why it was taking so long, no one called and notified us that the ring was taking longer than normal (we had to call them and then we called their phone was off, so I had to go to the mall), and had our wedding not been in July and/or we needed the rings sooner, the fact that it took two months would’ve been a big issue, especially since their weren’t any notes stating why it was taking so long. Overall, good experience and I wouldn’t mind purchasing...

My Fiancé and I had been looking at various stores for rings but hadn’t had the right person help us, until I went to Paramount Jewelers. As soon as we walking up they are already greeting me with smiles. They were quick to help me find the perfect ring. The woman that helped me was name Rebecca. She was awesome! It was our first time ring shopping and she made us feel very comfortable, she showed that she actually cared about me and my fiancé getting the perfect ring. She was full of patience and very good energy. She was spontaneous and just a very good person overall which made the experience more enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back and referring to others to come to Paramount Jewelers. They passed no judgement and welcomed us with open arms....
