Cookies, etc. — Local services in Ames

This used to be my favorite place but for a couple years they grossly undercooked the cookies where they were still very dough like. But they have gotten really good again. The monster cookies are bomb. The cute older woman who last waited on me was very sweet and was wearing a face shield and while they kind of scare me look wise I appreciated it during this time while she was working with food. She had gloves on too if I remember right. However I am disappointed they no longer have the fountain pops the mountain dew tasted so good from here! Hit the spot. My other qualm is that it's kind of pricy. The ice cream is nearly three dollars for one scoop. I could go across to wal mart and buy a whole carton of great value for that price. I'm kind of a grandma I guess, lol. But the cookies are phenomenal. You won't be disappointed. Especially with the monster cookies hint hint! Sorry I'm a nerd....

I had ordered a dozen cookies a week ahead of time, wanting them delivered on Tue, Aug 11. The 100+ miles per hour wind and rain storm had gone through the day before, and I assumed the delivery would wait until another day. I was shocked when my assistant texted to say the cookies had arrived on the 11th, and what a welcome surprise they were for her--on a day when she really needed something nice to happen!

I am SO impressed with Cookies, Etc. in Ames, given what I know the storm damage was to the area, yet they got them delivered on time.

Sadly disappointed. I ordered a 15” cookie cake from here on Friday for a birthday. When I picked it up and was showed the cookie I was disappointed with the display as it looked like a 4th grader wrote the message. I was still hopeful that the taste would make up for it. I was then highly disappointed when I went to cut into it 6 hours later and it just cracked apart instead because it was so dry and hard. I did call and place my order the day before so maybe it wasn’t fresh but still not ok especially...
