I requested an emergency supply of my sleep medication because my doctor hadn't sent refills even though I sent a message to her a week prior, the receptionist said the message didn't go through, but it's not my fault their system messed up. The woman at walgreens said they wouldn't do an emergency refill. I clarified that I have been on this medicine for years and am on a very high dose, and that my doctor stated that if I try to quit this medicine cold-turkey I would very likely start having seizures due to a combination of the withdrawals and the other medications I'm taking. She still said no, so I called another location to ask if they were allowed to say no to that. The other pharmacist said they are allowed to say no if the medication is controlled or has a risk of abuse, which mine does not. I gave him all the information I had and he told me that it was very strange that they denied my refill, but he couldn't refill it for me if my pharmacy said no. I called them again the next day and the same woman picked up, I asked again for an emergency reply and she said no. I asked why and she said "because." genuinely. is she 5??? I asked her, "am I just gonna have seizures then?" and she said "there's nothing I can do about that." There is something she can do, she can give me an emergency refill. luckily my doctor finally sent my refill through and I got it in time, but that was ridiculous. There was no reason to deny my emergency fill and there was no reason to be so insanely rude about it. I was very kind (until the previous comment) despite being told I couldn't receive an emergency supply of my medication despite it NOT being my fault that the refills hadn't been sent yet. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs, they care much more about their jobs being easy than they do about you and...
Read moreI have never experienced such trouble as I have with this pharmacy. I recently moved from Des Moines and thought going to Walgreens would be an easy transition but they are terrible. I have had three prescriptions called in the first time they didn't order my prescription because they didn't have my insurance information on file- which turns out they actually did. Then when they ordered it they weren't able to get the 2nd prescription but didn't think to call me and tell me, they waited until I showed up. For the third prescription, which was just called in yesterday, it turns out yet again it wasn't ordered and they have no idea why- it would have been nice for them to call me to tell me this but of course I didn't find out until I called them to see if it was ready to be picked up. They have terrible customer service and every rep I have talked to has acted like they were annoyed to even be bothered to do their job. Going forward its obvious I should be having my prescriptions sent elsewhere.... wishing there was a...
Read moreI live about 30 min away and recently switched to this location as it was near my Drs office. I've found their pharmacy staff rude on many occasions, very long waits which means I need to return in the evenings and another 1 hour round trip plus wait time. I was told my Rx was being filled but after I went in they told me it would not be ready until the following day - which would have been helpful to know. I've also found there is often no one at the front cash registers or the wait time for one person ahead of me is so long I've just returned my items to the shelf and left. I would pay non-insurance) price at another pharmacy before I ever go back to this...
