Dunham's Sports — Local services in Ames

Went to return some items that were purchased for baseball and that was not needed. Items that were purchased the day of the original purchase included two kayak and around $250 in baseball equipment. When the purchase was made my phone number was used during the transaction. The receipt was misplaced and I had 3 baseball items that were not needed. All items were still in original packaging, nothing was opened. Went to return, figuring that I would receive in store credit ($30ish) for the items. I was told I was not able to return the items without a receipt. What is the point of taking my cellphone number for purchases if I cannot return items not used or needed without a recept. I will not be spending my money at Dunham's Sports. I will drive the 45 minutes to Dick's or another sporting...

I really like the store. They have a large selection of items and it is neatly organized. I just find it a bit frustrating that not everything has a price tag on it. I was looking at fishing line and it seemed there was no rhyme or reason to what did and didn't have a price on it. If I knew the price of everything it would be an easy 5...

My first thought while walking into Dunham’s was, “Dang, this store is small!” Until I turned the corner… IT’S HUGE and the employees are so friendly. No need to make a trip to Scheels in DM, when you have everything for your sporting goods...
