I explicitly & repeatedly told Stephanie Ruiz not to use products containing fragrance, but she didn't respect my boundary & proceeded to use fragrant equalizer/spray & other products on my first facial at Pure Luxe. Fragrance can lead to contact dermatitis many years later. A credible, science-based Salon will not keep any fragrance products on their shelves. Unfortunately, a lot of Spas are run by pro-pseudoscience people. I wasn't told during the hair consultation that I need to come several times to get the color I want. I gave them my hair sample & still got a terrible result. I came out with a burnt orange, red hair & the result was way off than what I wanted. They could have honestly told me that they can't give me dark brown hair considering the fact that they had my hair sample. My hair has been badly damaged in this salon & when I requested them to fix it they further gaslighted me & blamed me due to lack of time. Lack of time wasn't the problem. I explicitly asked my hairstylist Kaitlyn if the color can be done in 2 hrs & she enthusiastically said, "yes, sure" before even starting the hair color appt. The hairstylist could have said no if she required more time. Hairstylist Kaitlyn was very uncommunicative throughout the hair coloring process. She never apologized to me for messing up my hair & didn't even offer to fix my hair after the hair coloring was over. My hair will remain damaged for a very long time now. Terri Ford was burning dried leaves while I was in the salon, which induced coughing. Terri believes in astrology & is a very superstitious & pseudoscientific person. I prefer to offer my business to secular & science-based...
Read moreso 8-9 weeks ago I went to Pure Luxe International Salon & Spa and paid 123$ to get my hair permed and tipped. I left looking like a wet poodle with half my hair straight. The other was as curly as can be. I messaged them and they were so nice and let me come back a week later. They did a strand test and my hair was not able to be permed. We made a date for later on to try again with a different stylist. I went and they were nice to me. I left with my hair damp and by time I got home, over half my head was straight and the rest had some curls… but my scalp had chemical burns, and now I’m missing chunks of hair. A big piece where my part is. I understand some peoples hair isn’t meant to be permed, I understand some professional salons can do a stronger mixture and make it happen, they didn’t. I left and the hairdresser told me I had nice texture and the lady at the desk said how I had nice curls and looked good. They did not have the decency to tell me some people’s hair doesn’t take or anything instead they lied to me and messed me up. I highly do not recommend. They are nice to your face but don’t have the professionalism to be honest when something doesn’t work or go right. I saved up for a while to get this done and this is what I was left with. The first picture is what I wanted. The next 3 we’re from the first time and the last pictures were from this last time I went....
Read moreVery unprofessional. Salon owner will cuss you out on the phone. Threaten you when you come in for a refund saying they want to “come talk to you outside” and follow you out to the side walk. Then has her employees facebook stalk you, yes I saw them in the story views. Also asked for my address to top it all off. Very creepy, don’t recommend. Most unprofessional “business” i have ever had the displeasure of going to. Will also offer you a refund then try to back out of it later on and then cuss you out. Fried my hair, did nothing of what I asked and then will try to gaslight you. I wasnt going to bother writing a review, until the threats and social media stalking began. Scary! Id avoid this business...
