I am quite frustrated with the service at this Verizon store. I’ve always respected Verizon until now. I took my phone in to this location since I was in town as my charging port on my phone had burnt out. I asked about getting it replaced or if it could be replaced. I asked about other options of repair stores and I was told it would be several hundred dollars if I took it somewhere else, which is not the case. I was basically told that it was not worth repairing and I needed to replace it if I wanted a working phone. I spent almost 1.5 hr sitting while my new phone was updating and suppose to be transferring my info from my old phone, which was about to die since it couldn’t be charged. It held the charge for again, almost 1.5 until it died and I was told my new phone should have transferred most of my contacts and pictures, which was all I wanted. I found out, nothing got transferred. I called a phone repair shop later to find out it would have taken me less time to get it repaired for even less price I paid to get a new phone. I always do business with Verizon, but if you don’t be up front and honest about my options and the fact nothing got transferred, that’s bad service on your part as employees and a business. I did a trade in and apparently I was told at that day, end of the day my phone would have been shipped to be wiped clean so I wouldn’t even be able to return my new phone for my old one the next day if I did the return policy on my new phone which was not stated I couldn’t get my old phone back if I decided I didn’t like the new one. Ridiculous Verizon, and shame on you who works at...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. This store is a scam. My phone broke at 4:35 pm on a Sunday and so I was on a short time to get a replacement phone before stores closed at 6 at closing time. This was the first Verizon store I passed, so I stopped there. The young man said that I could get $200 off towards any phone with trade in of my phone, with the plan that I had. Ok, fine. So, I said I would upgrade to the iPhone 15. We are about half way through and so I confirm with him that I just pay the tax today and then the upgrade fee and first payment are on the next bill, correct? He said no that they do things differently at this store. That with all phone upgrades, they make package deals so it's approximately $250 out the door for the phone. They package together the phone tax, upgrade fee, set up fee, case, screen protector and charger. I said that I don't need assistance setting up the fee and that I don't need any of the accessories. He said to me. "Then you don't need a phone, do you?" He literally was not going to sell me the phone without buying all the accessories and paying a set up fee. No thank you.
Glad I walked out. I came back home and logged into my Verizon account and I had an offer for a FREE iPhone 15. I can pick it up at a different local store tomorrow at 11 am (free in store pick up). I just have to pay taxes and upgrade fee (totaling $100). I found an Otterbox defender series case on Amazing being delivered tomorrow between 7 and 11 am so I don't have to go without a case.
This al together cost me $135, not $250. Sorry, not a fan of...

I wanted to order the new iPhone 16 pro max and I called them and set up an appointment, they were really nice at first, I ordered the new iPhone thru them and also signed up with a new line which they set it up on my old phone until the new iPhone arrived.
As soon as I went home, it stopped working, I had no mobile data and I had also cancelled the plan with my previous carrier since I had signed up with them. I immediately contacted them and they told me to turn airplane mode on and off and that didn’t work and the next day I went in and the guy would barely give me any attention and he just tells me to contact Verizon customer service and figure it out with them like literally what’s the point of opening up a Verizon store if they want me to contact customer service - what are they here for???
After that I tried contacting customer service and they told me my phone might not be eligible for e sim and to go to the store and get a physical sim and I go back to them and at they tell me to go to another store since they don’t have any and at this point I was fine with them, I just told them to cancel my order and everything completely. The next day I went to Apple Store and bought outright and signed up with mint mobile all within one day in a matter of minutes.
If anybody is trynna sign up with Verizon or need help with anything, I would highly recommend going to other main Verizon store in Ames. These people will treat you nice at first until you sign up with them and then wouldn’t care about you.
