Food: 3.8/5 Quality: We tried the Birria Tacos and the Quesabirria. The Birria Tacos were very tasty and is served with a generous amount of birria broth. The beef was juicy and the taco shells were double wrapped and good. The Quesabirria was almost the same thing, just with cheese, also very good. The rice that came with it was alright, nothing special.

Variety: The menu is pretty average for a food truck. If you like Mexican Food, I am sure there is something you will like.

Value for Money: It is not a bad price being about $12 for 3 tacos, the birria and the rice. It was around the same price for the quesabirria as well, a good price for what you get.

Service: 5/5 stars Timeliness: It is a food truck, the food comes out fast and hot.

Attentiveness: N/A

Friendliness: They were nice.

Cleanliness: 4/5 stars Dining Area: They have a little tent setup in front of the food truck with some fold out tables, nice to have.

Finally some good food in Ames! Dripping with grease and oh so delicious, this is my fiance's and my new go to spot. The workers here are very kind and helpful too :) If you want good Mexican food truck food, this place is it!

Update 5/28/23: had to take off a star for service. For the past year, only lengua has been extra $, while cabeza was the same price as the "normal" meats. To my surprise, I was charged an extra $0.50 per cabeza taco today, as well as a credit card fee. Neither of these prices are disclosed anywhere on their menu. (The extra lengua charge isn't on the taco part of the menu either, for the record, it only says it for some of the larger items). Ordering in person is supposed to be cheaper than ordering on DoorDash, but cabeza tacos are still $2.80 there as of today, versus $3.00 in person. Minimal difference, maybe, but still feels dishonest to be charged extra when nowhere on their truck does it...

Last night, we stopped in for a quick bite. We ordered 14 of their tacos: 8 steak, 4 chorizo and 2 pastor. Usually, we come here and have a great experience and their food tastes awesome.
