I recently took my 2017 BMW X5 to German AutoTech to have the spark plugs changed. The engine was running fine but I had 72K miles on the vehicle and BMW recommends changing them every 60K. I had purchased a set of 6 Bosch plugs and gave them to the owner Jack for installation.

A few hours after I dropped off the vehicle, Jack called me and said the car was ready to pick up. I picked it up and after driving less than a minute, I got a "Drivetrain Malfunction" message on the display and the car started running rough. I turned around and took the car back. Jack drove me home in his car and went back to the shop to troubleshoot the issue.

He spent several hours trying to figure out the problem and eventually concluded that one of the new spark plugs I provided him was defective and replaced it with a new one from his stock. The car ran perfectly after he replaced the plug. He then drove the car to my house and we drove together back to the shop where I dropped him off.

I offered Jack additional payment for all the extra labor he had to do to fix the car. He refused to take it. Jack and German AutoTech take their work seriously and respect their customers. I dropped my car off and got it back exactly how I wanted it to look. Damon and his team kept in touch with me even though I was on a different continent with a 7 hr time zone difference.
