I can’t even describe the incompetent service I had at the Ammon TJ Maxx. I wish I could give less than a 1 star review. I came in with my kids on Thursday and spent about 2 hours back to school shopping. We had about 300$ worth of clothes in our cart. During check out they said they could not pull up my charge account and to call customer service. I did just that, for some reason customer service could not give them my account number over the phone to charge the purchase. Even though I verified my social security #, Mother’s maiden name, address, Birthday etc. They recommended that I close my account and open a new one. Ok ?? So We went through the whole process of doing that. Then the brains behind the counter tells me I need to have my husbands drivers license number. I of course did not have that with me. The manager came over and told me she would hold all of my stuff till the next day by closing if I could bring that back in with me. Frustrating but ok. Just went in to finalize my purchase at 2:00 in the afternoon and the whole cart had been put away! Seriously my entire day waisted. What happened to holding the cart until the next night? TJ Maxx you really should train your “managers” better or at least teach them not to promise something and then not follow through with it. I spend about $500 a month every month with you, not anymore! You lost a...
Read moreI went there to look for one item, knowing specifically what I was looking for. Google said they closed at 9:30, I arrived at 9:22. I Went to the doors and got stopped by an older man wearing classes -I assume the manager- who told me they were closing in 8 minutes. I told him I knew exactly what I was grabbing and I'd be out of his hair. He then told me if I didn't grab and purchase it within 4 minutes I was not welcome to go into the store! When I tried to go inside to grab it, he blocked my way in and I had to squeeze between him and the automatic doors he had shut off. When I got inside all of the lights were turned off except the register lights, they had ALL of the shopping carts blocking off the door way into the store, and the workers made nasty comments and gave me nasty looks instead of offering to help look for it, while there were still 5 other customers in the store. I turned right around and walked out, they didn't even say thank you for coming in. I understand wanting to close on time and go home as I work retail too. However, at our store we would NEVER tell someone they arent welcome and can't come in (when we aren't even officially closed) if they can't get what they want within 4 minutes. To whomever the manager is with the mustache and glasses, I'm disgusted with how you handled that and treated me - your CUSTOMER. Never go...
Read moreAt 1030 pm tonight (12/12/22) i drove from blackfoot to go to tj maxx. I pulled up to tj maxx in idaho falls to do a return and grab a couple of things. Online said that it was open until 11 pm. I pulled up and they looked closed. I saw 7 people come out of the front door so I asked them if they were still opened. These 7 people all turned out to be employees of tj maxx leaving for the night. One girl responded no we closed early because we're short staffed. I'm sorry but 7 people to me doesn't seem like short staffed to close an hour early. This is ridiculous to close an hour early due to being short staffed when there are 7 people working. How many people does it take to run tj maxx at 10 at Night on a Monday. I am very understanding of stores experiencing staffing shortages but this did not seem to be the case here. This is not the only time I have had a problem at this store with employees. I guess I will just drive to pocatello from now on to do my shopping or maybe just start shopping...
