We booked 3 soft glam and hairstyles. We confirmed pricing initially but when it was time to pay the pricing was completely different and we’re all of a sudden told that each stylist is a different level and price which had never been mentioned to us. It was nearly double what we thought the cost was. We were never told the price would change. Contacted to try and talk to the owner 4x and no response. We shouldn’t have been willing to pay at the time as a courtesy to them and insisted the owner talk with us then. I’ve left 3-4 messages and requested in person we be refunded but no accountability. Had we been given the real price we would not have booked services and instead paid to have these services done in our hotel room as the extra cost would have been the same. We specifically went in person because of the cost we were quoted.

I think it’s bad business practice to not be upfront with pricing. If we were told a price that should have been honored no questions asked. If we were being given a higher level stylist which we didn’t know existed and that would mean a higher cost, that 1000% should be conveyed to the customer. Because of this experience we would not recommend or go back again. If all of the pricing had been made clear from the beginning that would have been a different situation, but we confirmed pricing before booking and then they changed it. Still no response...

CURLY HAIR BEWARE.

I asked for an appointment with a stylist that has Deva Cut training/experience cutting curly hair. When I arrived, the stylist wanted to take me for a shampoo right away (first red flag - I should have left then...now I only have myself to blame). I asked her to cut it dry (because that's how curly hair should be cut - if you cut it wet, you have NO idea what it will look like when it dries!!). She said she could take some off while it was dry, but wanted to take a little more off after the shampoo (WHY did I trust her!?). She took A LOT more off when it was wet. I came in with elbow length hair and asked for it to stay well past shoulder length with a U shape in the back. I left with hair that sits on my shoulders, is not well blended and is CROOKED in the back and not at all the shape I requested.

Part of me wants to demand my money back. And another part of me is just full of self blame because this has happened to me so many times, I should know better than to trust a stylist. Either way, I cant got back there because every time I think/talk about this hair cut, I am reduced to tears of frustration and anger.
