World Market — Local services in Ann Arbor

This world market location is absolutely wonderful. I'm an absolute sucker for all things European, and this place has absolutely no shortage of it. Decorations, knick knacks, gadgets, foods, furniture, utensils, the works; this place has a little bit of everything. When I go, I usually go for cooking utensils, ingredients, foods, and tea. I had a lot more in this review, but it was just even more listing, so I'll cut it short: World Market is great, even just to pop in and see what they have. Next time you eat at the Olive Garden nearby, you have to stop by this place. My friend and I saw an item online and came into the store to purchase. They didn't have it, and wouldn't look for it, instead telling us to purchase it online for same day pickup.

When we returned to pick it up, the item was not ready and we were rudely chastised for following THEIR instructions and ordering online. Then we were told that they had it in stock but could not find it.

As a retail manager, this is not only unacceptable behavior, but it shows their lack of organization. That would be fine if they were at least apologetic or even civil about the matter but they were borderline accusatory as if it was our fault that we dared come into the store to...

I always enjoy my shopping experience at World Market, Ann Arbor! Their selection of specialty home decor, food, condiments, clothing, and drinks from all over the world is top-notch. I always find something new and exciting to try. On this particular visit with a friend, we were impressed with the amount of vegan and plant based food and drink items they had, as well as the amazing customer service.
