Unnecessary Necessities — Local services in Apache Junction

This is almost like a thrift shop except its ran by the owner himself and it's all of his stuff that he's collected over the years, through shows and what not. Odds and ends. A little of everything, lot of hobby knives that you would see at the mall/trade shows/festivals, knick-knacks, pins, and unique thrift finds.

It's not great, it's not bad, it's somewhere in the middle. The owner is a nice old man, could strike up a conversation and talk for awhile.

Stopped into Unnecessary Necessities on 8/8/25 to look around at what the store had to offer. I was greeted by the owner as I entered. We talked for a little bit. I purchased some books for my husband, a cassette tape for myself, and a pin for a friend. I will definitely be back soon to get a better look at the vinyl records, the antique plates, and some of the little knickknacks. “If you need it, we don’t sell it” this is very true. If you go in there keep an open mind and maybe you’ll find something for yourself or for someone you know. Have patience...

Me and some friends stopped by the shop just to look around. One of my friends was looking to buy a flag. We were just grabbing stuff because that’s what you do at a store you look at stuff and then he just started yelling at us to stop touching stuff and get out of the store and didn’t even let my friend buy what he was tryna buy.
