Von Hanson's Meats — Local services in Apple Valley

Von Hanson's offers a great selection of quality meats and other food items, however, nearly all of their processed food items contain MSG (monosodium glutamate).

MSG is primarily used as a flavor enhancer in food. This additive is also known to have side effects and cause reactions.

These reactions — known as MSG symptom complex — include:

Headache Flushing Sweating Facial pressure or tightness Numbness, tingling or burning in the face, neck and other areas Rapid, fluttering heartbeats (heart palpitations) Chest pain Nausea Weakness

Unfortunately, I am not able to eat any of their products because of allergic reactions to MSG. Hopefully in the future, Von Hanson's will provide non-MGG containing products for customers that cannot safely tolerate...

I waited in line like everyone to pay $70 for a brisket. The one worker totally ignored me . He pretended to be busy and ask everyone that wasn’t black could he help them. Finally another young man offered his assistance. I was so mad I called back to speak to the manager and whoever answered pass the phone. I asked “are you the manager”? Whoever took the call finally said he was the manager. I explained my situation.The customer in the store notice too. Well I can truly say I will take my business elsewhere

Update: Complain department reached out and I was able to discuss in details my dissatisfaction with the service. At this time I feel better knowing that they were in agreement and they will follow up with training. Thanks I’m happy now and...

I love Von Hanson's beef jerky and Provolone cheese. For me is a once in a while treat. Today I purchased 1.12 lbs of the original flavor. The employee did not wear gloves to take it out of the case and package it same happen when the other employee took the cheese out of the cooler cut it and package it. Because of what we are going through with COVID and people being rude to retailers i paid and left. I did toss both the jerky and cheese. $26.71 In the trash. Hopefully the employees start wearing gloves. Not only due to covid.
