The employees in the store were friendly and helpful, no complaints there. But when I received my framed piece back in the mail I discovered that Framebridge had permanently damaged the piece during the framing process by rolling and unrolling it without proper care, causing large, visible cracks to form in the paint.
Update: After leaving this review and contacting Framebridge, I was very pleasantly surprised with their customer service. They not only refunded me the framing cost, they contacted the artist, acquired another copy of the piece, and shipped it to me, framed, all free of charge. That went above and beyond my expectations and the replacement piece looks great.
I would still be hesitant to use them again for something that was not replaceable, but I was extremely impressed with how they dealt with the situation. I would definitely use them again for anything that wasn't an original work of art.
Also, because I would be curious if I read this kind of review, it's worth mentioning that at no point did Framebridge mention that I left a negative review (beyond replying to it on Google) or ask me to update or change it in any way. I just felt it was fair to update this to reflect how they made the...
Read moreI have had about a dozen items framed at Framebridge and am always pleased with the selection, service, and end result. Recently we had a piece severely damaged in the shipping process, and the Clarendon team went above and beyond to repair the situation (and the art!). They refunded our purchase and sent the piece to their art department who worked their magic to repair the piece and reframe it. They offered to replace the art, and purchase another copy from the artist, but we declined because we didn't mind that it had a small blemish on it. The art getting damaged in the shipping process was not their fault at all, yet they took full accountability for resolving the matter. The art team did such a thorough and impressive job repairing the art. You can only see the damage if you look super closely and really go looking for it. Throughout the entire process the entire Framebridge team communicated proactively, were super generous and offered us many options to resolve the situation, and ultimately returned the restored and freshly framed art quickly. This was an exceptional customer service experience. I was very grateful and impressed. And I'm about to take a few more items there to...
Read moreAdvice: buy frames you like (online, thrift, etc.) and pay CVS to print your photos on glossy paper. You’ll save a lot of money and time plus have far more style options.
I went to this location with an existing piece of art and was underwhelmed by the variety of frame choices available. I walked away from a potential transaction (not only because I realized how overpriced it is) because there was no contract or other method of insuring my art piece would be safe or replaced if something happened when sent away to be framed. There is no on-site framing—everything is shipped off-site which I believe carries the risk of losing/damaging pieces that have sentimental value. It’s standard practice to have a contract to protect both the customer and the company. Very surprised that there is no such thing here.
The employee I spoke with was patient and explained the process thoroughly, so kudos to her. However, I cannot recommend paying for Framebridge services with no contract and at this exorbitant...
