Been wanting to try a beef Wellington after watching Chef Gordon Ramsay make it on tv about 7-10 years ago. I could never find a restaurant that had it on the menu & I found Mazaros’s. We made reservations so we were seated right away. It’s one large room & you can see the kitchen. Very loud & lacked the intimate appeal but we were still excited to be there. I already knew what I wanted but it took a long time before our server came to us. Like a really long time to the point we were tempted to leave. Right when I about to ask for a manager he finally came. This was disappointing because I notice him standing by the kitchen looking like a zombie this entire time. I know he saw us looking around for him but did nothing. Then he came & kinda just looked at us. I had to ask for his name because he didn’t introduce himself to us. Then when I asked what soft drinks they offered, he seemed like he didn’t know that either. I’m not sure if it was a language barrier or us being African American so I tried not to let myself have negative thoughts. Other servers came to check on us & asked how we were doing & refilled our waters & I wish they was serving us than the one we had.
The restaurant was packed & obviously busy so I understood it would take a while before we got our food. Once we did I could’ve cried. My beef Wellington was out of this world. Puff pastry was delicate & crispy. Mushroom prosciutto was flavorful & mouth-watering & the beef tenderloin which I had cooked medium literally melted in my mouth. So tender, cooked perfectly & juicy! One of the best dishes I ever had & fulfilled my dream to have this dish. I also ordered the cheesecake which was out of this world as well. I definitely will come back to get my beef Wellington & try other dishes as well. Despite having a subpar server, I tipped at 20%.
I would highly recommend Mazaro’s. It would be best to make a reservation & expect long wait times to get your food but it will be...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at the most exquisite Italian restaurant and I couldn't wait to share my incredible experience. The ambiance of this restaurant is nothing short of enchanting. The soft glow of lighting throughout, the warm earthy tones of the décor, and the cozy, intimate seating arrangements create an atmosphere that is both elegant and inviting. It's the perfect setting for a romantic date night or a special celebration.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food. The menu is a masterpiece of Italian flavors, featuring a diverse array of dishes that cater to every palate. I started with the tuna tar tar, which was the best I’ve ever tried.
For the main course, I couldn't resist trying their homemade pasta, and I opted for the pasta allo scoglio. It was perfection on a plate. Every mouthful was a revelation, and I savored each bite.
But it's not just the food that makes this restaurant exceptional; it's the impeccable service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the cuisine they were serving. They made me feel like a cherished guest, and their recommendations were spot on.
To top it all off, the wine selection was extensive, with a variety of Italian wines that perfectly complemented the dishes. What an...
Read moreFood here is always delicious. I’ve been here several times and enjoy it. This last trip service was a little odd. With plenty of tables my wife and I had to assert ourselves to get a better table. I had the veal piccata while my wife had the eggplant parmigiana. As to the setting, it’s nice enough for that someone special. You will have to find parking. There’s street parking to pay for but it’s a matter of luck.
Parking is not the best in the area but you can usually find some within a few minutes. The service is great here and the setting is slightly upscale. Definitely a nice place to take your better half. And the food is great. We went here to celebrate and had a great time, with everyone enjoying their food. We had bruschetta, spaghetti with meatballs, cacio e Pepe, veal Marsala, and chicken piccata. Sooo good.
Although parking is a challenge, it’s worth it to go here. This is a relaxing, slightly upscale dining experience you want to share with your significant other. The food is delicious and the service is equally great. Between appetizers, dinner, and dessert everything was great. I had the pasta amatriana, which was perfect. And my wife had the eggplant Parmesan. For dessert, I had the limoncello cake and my wife...
