Cody, aka Code Red around the shop, was insanely helpful with my issues today. I always get great customer service when Iâm in Christy Sports but this time was absolutely exceptional! I had been having trouble with my K2 boots I purchased there about 11 months ago and was considering attempting to put them up for the season and submit a warranty request, the boots boa system was having some issues and the boots didnât fit quite right and were seriously hurting my feet. I can say I was definitely losing my stoke factor when shredding the pow, my feet would hurt so bad on the run that I would have to stop 1 or 2 times before getting to the bottom. I expressed all this to Code Red (Cody) and he suggested that we replace the boots and refund them under their 12 month âfit guaranteeâ policy. I got fitted into brand new Ride boots that seemed to solve all my fit issues and even got custom inserts to accommodate the arch in my foot.    Read moreMy husband & I were so excited to go pick up gear. The first person we met with (didnât catch his name but he said he was from Steamboat & used to be their ski coach) was so arrogant.
He bombarded us right off the clip with all of his expertise & wouldnât let us ask a single question. He then asked my husband to grab his boots from the truck & didnât notice when my husband left I could overhear him talking poorly about my husband & already stating the boots would prob be âawfulâ to the front desk gal.
He then proceeded to tell my husband the boots he had custom fitted for him would t be good & that he recommended renting boots & questioning their fit. Again these were custom fit boots.
Nonetheless, he made the experience really off putting & we ended up just leaving without buying what we intended (ski jacket, goggles, helmet & rental package for a board).
We will rent elsewhere & pick up the other gear at REI. Bummed but it didnât feel right working with someone that rubbed us so wrong. Word of advice- listen more...
   Read moreWeâve been renting skis for our kids from Christyâs for years now. Itâs great, because theyâre still growing, so we donât have to buy equipment that will need to be replaced quickly.
We always get awesome service from all of their employeesâtheyâre friendly and great with our kids, and super efficient. The equipment is well maintained, and itâs a massive plus that they have so many locationsâyou can get a different boot size or even switch between skis and snowboards at any of those locations. One year, our daughterâs feet grew between picking up her gear and going skiing, and the Christyâs near our resort took care of it, no problem.
One last point that makes them our go-to: renting our gear by the season saves so much time. We can pick up before the season gets going, which means we donât waste time (or moneyârenting for the season saves you if youâll be going for around 5 days or more) renting each time we go skiing. The gear is already there and ready to go.
