First time up here and was impressed. The latte with their homemade syrups was outstanding and the presentation matched. I had the veggie breakfast burrito, which was one of the better burritos I've tasted. Coffee type, style and selection runs wide and the gentleman that helped me answered all of the questions, both from myself & everyone else in line. My only non positive comment wouldn't be on the price of the menu items, but the price of the bags of coffee. I understand craft shops vary in price, and typically expensive. I completely get that from a supply and demand angle. For my personal price point, I just found here to be extremely expensive for a 12oz bag - a 16oz I would have purchased. And to note, I get 2 bags, one regular and a decaf, and mix the grounds for my press, so I look at it from a two bag minimum. Otherwise, this place is fantastic and I'm definitely coming back!

I've only been here twice, but both times have been exceptional. The staff is friendly. The shop is clean. The seating is inviting. Really a great, roomy, warm atmosphere. But the important thing is the coffee. I've tried their Nitro Cold Brew both times I've been there. It's honestly one of the best cold brews I've ever had. I love the presentation as well. The Iced Chai was also very tasty. All around, a great experience. Great place to meet friends as well, since it is so roomy. The price is very reasonable. The nitro cold brew is about a dollar or two cheaper than most comparable coffee shops. Everything on the menu seems similarly reasonably priced. It's also directly attached to a Great Harvest Bread Co., which is great if your meeting goes long and you need a bite for lunch. Can't speak to Two River's food, since I haven't tried it yet. Everything else is exceptional.

Good coffee, food but they don't clean tables, at all. So when I got my coffee they handed me a figurine of a dinosaur, with no explanation. Ok? Apparently this is meant to be left on the table to denote that it needs to be cleaned due to Covid precautions. Got it. But after sitting for a couple hours i noticed almost every table in the restaurant still had a figurine on them. I was perplexed. The sun started hitting me awkwardly so I went to switch tables... it had crumbs all over it with a figurine from a past customer. I asked the worker there if they cleaned tables and what was the point of the figurine... he mumbled something and I said, "soo you just leave all the tables dirty all day??" "Pretty much" was his literal reply. Again, I was perplexed. I ended up wiping crumbs off the table with my bare hands and I hope to not get Covid from this uncleaned table.

In terms of coffee quality, it's one of the top 3 coffee shops in the Denver area that I've been to, and has the advantage of being the closest to me. I generally get plain lattes for reference, but I imagine their espresso is top notch. The pure espresso mixed with the froth when I first drink a latte tells me a lot about the quality of coffee at a coffee shop, and the espresso at two rivers is so rich and smooth, like a good scotch. After the frothy espresso is drunk down, which doesn't take long because it's so good, the rest of the latte doesn't taste like simply milky coffee, and retains a lot of the complexity from the espresso. This isn't always the case and in my experience is another way that good coffee shops are set apart from lesser ones.

It has a modern look, but not tacky and stark. The coffee bar is right in the middle which is cool and gives it a lot of open space. To me it has a library feel, which I love, and makes it a great environment to study or work on things. There is also ample shaded outdoor seating, which is a bonus.

The employees are all great from what I've seen - always willing to chit chat and take an active interest in what you have to say. Otherwise they are good people and provide awesome customer service.

Be aware that it's part of a strip mall which is pretty busy on the weekends so parking can be tough to come by, but I've always been able to park, maybe just have...

So let me start by saying this was a well recommended shop and that I have been a craft coffee professional for nearly a decade. I will say that my standard is high, but that is because i have a trained palette. I understand that there are thousands of schools of thought on what good coffee is, but when I order a single origin espresso shot, and it’s served to me as ALL crema, I can tell you right away that it’s extremely under-extracted and should not have been served. They did not have any soda water for me to cleanse the flavor and only offered still. Why have all that fancy equipment if you’re doing a disservice to me and the beans by serving up bad brews instead of taking the extra couple of minutes to dial in your recipe throughout the day? You only have one option for single origin, so I honestly expected more. I was able to tell there was something wrong just watching my shot pull so fast, and then was shocked when I got it served to me without hesitation. Did I order ristretto? No, So why give me one? On other days I had nice experiences, but now I think its a gamble. The other reason is the poor Wi-Fi connection. I would like to be able to get work done after I order my coffee (like...

Two Rivers is THE pinnacle of hipster coffee. The waiting line makes no since (do you go outside, do you stand awkwardly by the counter and wait, do you form a line to the right; NO ONE knows!), the baristas/cashiers are mean AF (the fact that you are there is getting in the way of them exploring the ever expanding world of coffee knowledge; peasants like me and you are simply an inconvenience to this exploration), it takes FOREVER to get your coffee (my god they are slowwww; also, no time to smile or converse when they are busy brewing coffee...), Also this place is TINY (good luck finding a seat next to the 100 other people in there who think 2Rs is their own personal office), BUT BUT BUT 2 rivers has THE BEST COFFEE in the Denver area. Who knew you had to go all the way to the burbs of Arvada to get a decent cup of brown, but you will not be disappointed after you eventually get your fresh cup.

PS- I am probably being a little over critical of the baristas due to the fact that they are clumped together in a small cube of steam and grind, day in and...
