I purchased a purse online to pick up at the Belk in Asheville. I received an email at 8 am this morning letting me know that it was ready to pick up. I went to pick it up at 11 am and it was not ready. This is the 2nd time I have purchased something online (to avoid having to pay the $8.95 shipping) and the first time I purchased a pair of shoes and as I was going out the door I checked the box and there was only 1 shoe. I love Belk but this is beginning to be a nuisance. If Belk is going to do the Belk online thing they should have the item there ready to go when they send the email that the item is ready and that department that does the job of getting the items ready should be a little more efficient. Just saying!
Then as I was waiting for them to get my purse I went over to the purses and picked another one out. I came back and a different person was at the checkout. I told her that I would like a refund on the purse (they should have gotten to me by now) and to purchase the one I just picked out and the little girl said "you are wanting to get a refund on the purse that's not here?" I said the purse is here, it's just not right here. And I asked her if she could not just go by the bar code on the confirmation of me purchasing the purse on my phone...she was not very friendly. She had that look on her face that she did not want to be there...anyway I know I am venting but it is just a...
Read moreThis place is a relic. It smells musky upstair and overwhelmingly like perfume downstairs. All of the employees, except 2, were rude and unwilling to help. One even said that she was helping someone else for us to go find another employee. When we finally are able to check out the prices don't match their advertised sale price. We were again told to go find another employee at a different checkout because there was nothing the first one could do about the incorrect pricing and she wasn't calling a manager. The clothes are overpriced and not great quality. This was also not a one time experience. The last time I was in there I wait for 10mins at the perfume counter before anyone acknowledged my presence. The woman then told me she was with someone and would be a while, which sounds like personal business as they were laughing and talking about people like friends. I told her all I wanted was a bottle of Chanel. She then scoffed at me, said I'd just have to wait and walked back to her friend. Yes, I am younger (only 30) bit I make decent money for my age and am more than capable to pay for Chanel. She made me feel like a child unworthy of her attention. I left and bought it somewhere else. And I always will. Each customer should be given the...
Read moreI had a couple of products by Chanel that I tried to exchange because my Husband buys it for me a couple times a year. And when I get to much of a product I exchange for product that I need. I took it in and was told that since I didn’t have a receipt they would take it with a deep discount. I took back my products and said I wasn’t about to take a discount. So two weeks later after getting upset by this, which I have done this for 30 plus years I tried again. The same sales lady got really rude with me and said I told you they would not give you anything for it. Because I couldn’t prove I bought it from Belks, this was a gift I wasn’t asking for cash just exchange. I told her that Belks as the only place that sells Chanel makeup she said Dillard’s does go there. I have never in my 62 years been approached by such a rude sales person in my life. I have never posted anything on the internet but this has upset me so bad that it is my way of getting out frustration. That Chanel and Belk would employ someone that rude to there customers. I will take my...
