Had a very nice stay here at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. We were looking for a place to stay on our way to Tennessee to go to see family for Thanksgiving day. The have an indoor pool and hot tub which was perfect for our 4 kids to have fun in. But the most impact the facility had on me what the awesome aroma when you walk in......not sure if it’s air fresheners or what but the hotel smells great and even through the elevators it smelled the same. The snack area was out of this world. They had protein shakes like we drink at home and we have yet to find a hotel that has has them. Staff was extremely nice and polite. Grounds were clean, common bathroom clean and smelled good, pool area and weight lifting room clean and neat. The older boys and I relaxed in the evening down in the lobby playing cards and it was a great time and no loud people acting like fools. We have had one of the most pleasant stays here and we travel and have traveled to 400-500 hotels in our years. We would come back here any time that we were needing a place to stay in Asheville North Carolina. The breakfast was really good as well. Waffles, two styles of eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, lot of fruit, cereal, bagels, English muffins, some sweets and above all great coffee. Hahaha. I enjoyed my nice tasteful breakfast and coffee down in the lobby while allowing the family to sleep in. Speaking of which the beds were amazingly comfortable and we rented the suite which was crazy big. The suite was probably the largest suite we’ve ever stayed in and definitely The biggest couch we’ve ever seen in a room. Two TVs in the room, fridge, microwave, and more. I honestly can not say a bad word about this place or be upset other than the fact is we have to leave. Great place and it’s well deserved for all the comments and satisfactions we gave and received. It’s a must stay you will not be dissatisfied. If you are not happy by this place then you can’t be happy any...

The hotel was very nice, clean and modern looking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were immaculate. Unfortunately, the things I consider most important in a hotel - the ability to sleep comfortably - were ruined by some bean counter in corporate trying to save a few bucks.

The mattress was as hard as a rock. My girlfriend even likes much firmer mattresses than I do, and she said it was like sleeping on the floor. I woke a few hours in with a sore back, and had difficulty getting back to sleep. I spent about 8 1/2 hours in bed and got maybe six hours of sleep, most of it fitful. I eventually went and laid on the sofa, which was not very comfortable either but much better than the bed.

Also the toilet paper was literally like using sandpaper. Worse than any rest area I have ever used in my life. I can’t believe that the people who choose this stuff in a hotel of this status would put that garbage in the bathroom. If you stay here, be sure to bring your own. Had I stayed more than one night, I would have gone out and bought some. Thanks to something I ate that didn’t agree with me, I spent a lot of time in the bathroom and was literally bleeding raw by the time I left.

The sound isolation was not great, I was on the third floor and could hear every car driving by.

Finally, the hot tub - which we were greatly looking forward to using - was not working, and no one seemed aware. We even tried swimming in the indoor pool but it was...

One of the two best locations in Asheville. The other is a 4 or 5* and three times the cost (lol). This location is very abnormally clean, modern and has newly updated rooms. Smells GREAT. I love hotel scents.

Excellent location, near every highway, the mall and downtown. The area is well populated. At first sight, the area is a little concerning, due to the unhoused people. I quickly learned, there is no violence, the folks are simply using the bus line out front and the property is very secure. Security ended up being a non issue. They strictly use keycard entry and I think this would be beneficial at any location.

Staff is extremely helpful. Even non customer facing staff will smile or say hello. Breakfast is very nice and well prepared. Amenities are well maintained. Pool, gym breakfast areas are cleaned often. TBH I cant say any more good things. These days, and especially after the Storm Helene, this is phenomenal!

Many, many other hotels are not recovered but still operating at full cost which is sad and unfair. Thank goodness Fairfield Inn has been able to take recovery seriously. You can not tell there was a disaster here. We service workers appreciate YOU for having a property that allows us to relax while...

We couldn't decide between Fairfield Inn or another comparable hotel in the area. But two minutes after we stepped in this property, we regretted choosing it because of a conversation we had with a lovely front desk worker on Sep. 22. Christine: What brings you to Asheville? We: We are trying to see some early foliage. Christine: You guys are a couple weeks off. We: We want to go up to Mt. Mitchell and see if we can have any luck. Christine: I am not aware that anything has turned on Mt. Mitchell. Would you feel the same way we did if it were you? By the way, a few trees did turn a little, Ms. Expert of Foliage.
