RUDE STAFF, as many others noted! They’ve followed my children and I around on multiple occasions huffing and puffing if they dare touch anything. I make sure my kids stay close to me and put things back after looking, especially in there, due to snarky remarks from the staff in the past. Today my child picked up a cheap toy car from a bin they were tossed in and rolled it on the floor literally one time as we were being followed oddly closely. The woman who was following us said, “we don’t let kids touch the toys,” with an attitude. Today was my last straw. Too bad, as I was planning to go back without my children to make some holiday purchases. I try to give people grace and realize we all have our days, but this is something that happens every time we go into that store. My children were right with me in there, doing nothing wrong, just normal shopping. Maybe these people don’t realize kids are humans too and deserve to have freedom to move around as long as they’re not being destructive. I’ve also spent over a hundred dollars on a bicycle there before just to get it home and find out the seat was broken to the point every time my child rode it, the seat tilted back making it a real pain to try to ride, I could not fix it. BUYER BEWARE!!!! They don’t care about your satisfaction. There are no returns and they don’t seem to check items out before selling them. If your purchase is unusable or consumables are spoiled, your just out of luck and money! Be prepared to be uncomfortable as you’re followed so closely you can’t look at things, and deal with a nasty attitude at this place, especially if you have children, along with probable issues...
Read moreI used to adore the place when they first opened. I could always find a little something to treasure. Yes, the food is often beyond its expiration date, but they have a wide selection - so the majority of my purchases were higher ticket household and beauty items.
A few years ago, however, the cashier appeared to develop some secret little grudge against me and goes out of her way to say something snarky and mean (on a personal level) to me every time I'm in there.
Yesterday's visit was sufficient enough that I do not believe I will ever go in there again. There's nothing in there I want to buy so badly that I'm willing to be verbally abused in order to go in and buy it.
And: Since this attack was over my weight: A normal and healthy body weight for a woman is 18.5% to 24% body fat. Mine is within this range. Hers is not. She might consider working out something other...
Read moreOwner verbally assaulted me in the parking lot because I was walking my dog ( on a leash)- she told me that dogs are not allowed on the property. There is absolutely no signs saying that dogs are not allowed. I did send an email to the mall ownership/managers to let them know that this person is creating a rude and hostile environment at the Ashtabula mall location. I was not at her store ( shes a tenant of the mall) nor will I ever go there- Ill also make sure all of my friends and neighbors are aware of her unkind and mean spirited approach to...
