Vern's Cheese — Local services in Ashwaubenon

Received a nice little post-it note on my windshield tonight. I parked in a Verns Parking spot on my way in to Margaritas.

In beautiful handwriting, (it really was nice,) I was informed that I was in a Verns spot, and I would be towed next time.

I pulled into this spot around 630pm. Verns had no lights on. The open sign was off. The sign said that Verns was open til 6pm. And I pulled on your door on my way in to Margs to make sure.

1 - I will bet 1 zillion dollars that the owner of Margs would never allow a paying customer to be towed during dinner time on Margarita Monday outside your business hours. I'll check with him tomorrow to make sure.

2 - A better idea for a small business that just opened less than a month ago might have been a "sorry we missed you, stop back during our business hours" type thing...if you're going to leave notes.

I called Vern’s Cheese late in the day around 4:30 PM not realizing they closed at 6. I was hoping to get a charcuterie board made for a visit to my sister in the hospital the next day. Austin answered the phone and was not only kind but genuinely enthusiastic about helping, despite the short notice. I told him I wanted a simple board with meats and cheeses my sister hadn’t been able to enjoy during her pregnancy, and he absolutely understood the assignment. His outstanding customer service honestly made my day.

When I came to pick up the board, I was immediately impressed. The shop was spotless, well-organized, and had a fantastic selection. The customer service at pickup was just as warm and welcoming as it was over the phone. I will absolutely be back—even though I live all the way in Milwaukee. Vern’s Cheese is...

This guy is extremely friendly, very knowledgeable, and incredibly passionate about cheese. He seems to know everything there is to know about his supply chain, and he hand-picked his entire inventory. As a cheese aficionado, I highly recommend this place.
