When the pandemic started, Hinterland was incredibly attentive and appreciative to their customers, especially with their take out business. But since inside business has picked up I’ve noticed a huge change in customer service specially to lack of attention in order details.
But that wasn’t even my biggest issue. I scheduled one of the outdoor igloos for a fun experience with family that was coming from out of town - because of their health issues, inside dining is not an option. It was a 5:00 reservation and received a text confirmation of the date and time. A week later, I received a call from the hostess saying wind had ruined one of the igloos and asked if I would be open to another time, I said yes and rescheduled for 7:00 - again receiving a text confirmation.
The day before my reservation I received another confirmation text of the reservation but hours later, another hostess called saying that the igloos had been overbooked. Although my reservation was in the system - I was never assigned a table. The solution provided was to sit inside. When I explained I had scheduled this weeks ago, received text confirmations and that inside was not possible due to health issues - no viable solutions were offered. I felt like this was a big deal, enough for a a manger to call and fix the issue but instead got a hostess with a “it is what it is” attitude and it was extremely disappointing. I was also a little miffed that no research was done on when other reservations were scheduled to ensure whomever made the first reservation was given the opportunity to keep their spot.
Again, I am just stunned at how the customer service has done a complete 180 and has been so...
Read moreMy 3 friends and I went to this bar immediately after the packers playoff game. We ordered a beer and were standing around talking with each other when a guy randomly walks up to us and accuses us of provoking a fight. We had no idea what he was talking about. In fact, we assumed he was just some random drunk guy at the bar. After clarifying that we hadn’t even talked to anyone outside of our group (with the exception of the bartender when we ordered our drinks), he finally left us alone. About 5 minutes later he came back and let us know that he was the owner…later correcting himself after we asked his name, to clarify he was the owners “son” and he was confident it was our friend and he needed to leave immediately. We tried calmly explaining it was absolutely 1,000% not us and that is when he started getting in our buddy’s face and demanding he leaves the bar now because the guy that tried provoking the fight “looked like him”. We told him to go pull the cameras to which he said “I would but I don’t have my phone on me”. At this point I asked if we needed to get the cops involved because it was clear he was trying to start something and he then started backtracking and stated that it may have been someone else. He finally walked away, flipped us off and told us to go write a negative review on yelp. So son, your wish has been granted. We are the last people that would provoke a fight. Business advice, don’t go randomly accusing people of things you aren’t certain on and get in their face, in front of SEVERAL other people. Plain embarrassing and rude. We actually really enjoyed the atmosphere of the bar until this happened..we absolutely won’t...
Read moreThis place has so much potential! If you’re just coming in for beer, you’ll be fine - just look at the overhead tap menus or the taps - and the beers are great. However, if you want food, GRAB A PAPER MENU! Their website (QSR codes provided at the table) is pretty much user-hostile.
THE WORD “MENU” DOESN’T EVEN APPEAR ON THE PAGE THE QSR CODE LINKS TO. I went to Yelp to find a menu, but one of the items I wanted was no longer available, so I had to hurriedly think of something else to order from memory (from the paper menu I had glanced at by the host desk). This ruined the entire experience since the only thing I remembered was a salad - and who orders a salad at a brewery - WHY DO SALADS EVEN EXIST ON THEIR NON-EXISTENT MENU???????
Anyway, the salad was ok. The barbecue pulled pork was excellent (although they put it on the most tasteless bun I could imagine - most of the bun was left on the plate). I’m guessing they have other good food, but I don’t know what, SINCE I COULDN’T ACCESS THEIR MENU ONLINE!
Ok, halfway thru eating I found their menu online - BURIED THREE PAGES DEEP (click here, then click here, now click here - sorry friendly, patient, courteous waitress, please wait while I navigate your tortuous non-accommodating website). I guess SOMEONE has to hire the below average coders to design their website; all the more reason to GRAB A PAPER MENU!
Final piece of advice, GRAB A PAPER MENU. Oh, did I mention the beer is quite good?...
