I would like to say Why would there be such great reviews for Candace, on her service and how great she knew and explained the menu to customers then just off the cuff the manager calls her before her shift and tells her she has been let go. She was told there was a few times she complained when days were slow and everyone was just standing around. Well let me ask you this everyone complains and if you say you don't well then you are lying to yourself. And look in the mirror you are not the judge or jury and if she was let go because she complained a few times she was bored just standing around. Then that is not a good reason to let someone go. And yes she called out of work a couple times, big woop, so you haven't gotten under the weather. Or have been in pain? And when Candace was working she ran her butt off and took good care of her customers. If she didn't why would she get such great reviews????? She has been treated unfairly and unjust. Why are there still people who can hurt and do such mean nasty things to someone who is kind and caring. I don't know if you know this or have read it. Your brain in not fully developed until you are 25 years of age. So a 23- 24 year old manager has no idea what there doing, and making an 18 year old a manager is plain crazy. There still a child. They can't run a restaurant let alone there own life. Yelling and making someone feel inferior is a terrible thing to do when they are doing the beat they can under difficult circumstances. Plus management not keeping things running correctly in a restaurant is sad. Running out of ice on a hot summer day is sad, running out on anything is just incompetent. It needs to be addressed. All of this needs to be addressed. Apologies...
Read moreWanted to try something new, with my wife and some friends, in Titletown, and BelAir didn't disappoint. While I'm bummed they don't serve Coke Zero (yet, right Justin?), their incredible variety of salsa and dips made up for the Diet Coke I defaulted to. We ordered the Chips & Salsa as well as the Los Tres Amigos - perhaps the best guacamole, bean dip, and salsas I've had. I rated the food a 4 because my burrito (Birria) was a bit dry, but the flavor was outstanding. My friend got a burrito (Gringo as a Chimichanga) and also said it was a bit dry. However, my wife and her friend LOVED the tacos (Carne Asada (2), Texas Hold-Em Brisket, Birria, Ninja Pig, and the House - Made Chorizo). I'll go back and try the tacos for sure. I also didn't love the taste of their water, and made a comment to our server, Molly S, who then "personally dug me a well outside" to provide me with tastier water. Obviously a joke, but she made the comment in response to mine, and that was the perfect cherry on top of a great dining experience at BelAir with Molly S. She was a fantastic server from the moment we sat down, and we all made multiple comments about how great she was. Oh, the prices here are beyond reasonable! You have to give it a try. Request Molly S as your server,...
Read moreWe were there for the grand opening of this Titletown restaurant. The vibe and fare are ideal for this location. The taste is squarely just North of the Tijuana border with rich flavors, but modernized and hip. Since the restaurant is new to the area, we ordered various tacos : Birria, Chorizo, shrimp al Pastor, Lamb barbacoa, Ninja Pig. Also, I blindly ordered Catch of the Day and was surprised to be served a wonderful Swordfish. Filler items like rice, blackbean, chips and plantain were in quiet supporting roles, just there not shining but not falling behind either. Well, the main dishes were carefully cooked and seasoned which rendered each dish with distinct flavors and textures, thereby letting the strengths of the ingredients come through. It is clear that everything was freshly prepared and that the chef is in tune with his grill for optimum cooking of these varied meats. I am glad that his palate agrees with mine. Our college and high school boys enjoyed their dishes as well. To finish, we shared Churro and Flan which both reflected a pleasing restraint in the sweetness. I hope they do well...
