Carl's Pharmacy — Local services in Aspen

This is seriously the worst establishment I've ever been to.. .i walked in casually and bought a lighter because I misplaced mine, I walk outside and realize that the lighter was not working properly so I walk back in and asked if I could swap it out with a different one, the guy behind the counter looks me straight in the eye and say "I tested it before I sold it to you" just a complete and total lie, "this was 2 minutes ago and you're going to just lie to my face? You absolutely did not do that and you know it" is what I responded back with, then I guess his manager or something said that I was making a scene and needed to leave before the cops were called...look I will admit when I do wrong but I don't think asking for a $2 lighter to work properly is inherently insane ,either way please never give your hard earned money to these people I would love to see them go out of business if these are...

I absolutely love this store.. It has everything that a person could want with the best quality behind it!! I have purchased soveniers, bedding, bath, clothes, makeup, greeting cards, books, toys and many more things.. They have the best natural products for preventative health and cosmetic you can imagine.. Every employee there is sweet, professional and inthusiastic yet not pushy!! The store is very clean and well cared for!! Please, if you are visiting, vacationing or new to Aspen, take the time to check it out for yourself.. You will be a changed individual after shopping at, Carl’s!! Please be sure to write a review after doing so.. It is the least that we costumers can contribute to such a one of a kind store!! I was pleased to see it hasn’t changed since it was a kid and ran there with my allowance to buy candy in the back (that part has been changed a little) and bought all of my school supplies upstairs. Today, my last day here, I popped in for some Supergoop Unscreen and they were all out. Nooo! It’s my gift for my pet sitter at home in Canada where it’s not sold. The lovely lady in cosmetics said she could take my number and call me if it happens to come in. She phoned within about an hour and said that a colleague knew of some that hadn’t yet been unpacked, and said they’d find it for me. Drove back in from Snowmass, and they unpacked it for me. I consider this to be phenomenal customer service. So, so happy. Thanks Carl’s Pharmacy crew! The gentleman on the main floor cash is also a delight. Long live...
