Love the shop in Portland but my experience in Astoria today was completely off putting. Shop attendant was blatantly rude to my partner and I. When trying to greet/talk to her she would completely ignore us, not even looking at us or just walking away. However, she would engage with all the other guests in the store. At first we thought it was just an accident, but when we both separately said thank you/goodbye to her she completely ignored the both of us. My partner and I are clearly queer and it’s hard for us not to feel that this is the reason she was ignoring us. But regardless of the reason, we won’t be visiting that...

Loved this place. Neat stuff to look at and did buy some items for Xmas gifts. I enjoy places like this that I can pick up different things from such diverse places. What is available is fascinating and was pleasantly surprised to hear that the "mother ship" as was said to me by the salesperson was a 2 story store in Portland. Hope to visit that place one day.
