Our family came in tonight for some drinks and food. We took a seat in the back and the waitress promptly came and took our drink orders and asked for our ids. No problem. Three of us presented valid Washington state drivers license and one member of our party presented a valid tribal identification card which is a valid and perfectly acceptable form of identification in Oregon state, per the Oregon State Liquor Control Board. It is absolutely unacceptable for any establishment in this country to not know their own liquor laws and not be knowledgeable on all the acceptable forms of identification!!!!! Even after pulling up the LAW on the internet, the extremely rude waitress (short blonde) would not even attempt to look at the LAW. She was extremely rude to our family! It seemed to us that it was getting late and they were going to be closing up soon and did not want to be bothered with any more customers and it was a very easy decision for the manager to not accept a âoddâ looking Id rather than looking up the law and actually listening to the customer and providing some sort of customer service. Not even an apology!!!! We didnât let this ruin our night. Learn your...
Read moreThe owner blatently lies in the review response over taking any responbility for the situation. I got kicked out for not leaving a tip after having a horrible experience.
They will treat you poorly if you are younger, the food and drinks were nowhere near good enough for the issues and attitude. Redneck staff trying to run an upscale business.
The English lady working there tonight asked me if I was okay to have a second drink. It was offensive but I ignored it and said yes because I had only had one drink.
The person I was with talked to the owner about it and he said that we 'sounded horse, like we had been smoking and maybe stoned'. I felt embarrassed to start on my second drink and was working on the nachos, my friend was packing up to go and checking out.
The server asked me if it hurt my feelings when she asked if I was okay for a SECOND time and I told her yeah it was rude/unexpected and she watched us leave no tip. As a response, she takes my full drink away and throws it down the drain. I was still working on my food, and she told me I was not allowed to finish it or take it with...
Read moreWhat you may have heard about this place is gospel! The Inferno Lounge makes THE BEST pizza in the area, and by that I mean probably in the entire Pacific Northwest. OK, let me break it down for you. The pizza is an authentic New York thin crust 'Neapolitan' inspired pizza, that means like on the Atlantic City Board Walk, it's larger than life size. The tomato sauce is deeply delicate, not spicy, the sausage is made on site by a guy, Anthony, who really cares. The crust is thin, yet chewy and with just enough charred crispness that says in a Jersey accent "Hey sailor, you want a piece of me?" Of course, my answer to a great tasting pizza is always, "Yes, yes I do." Alright, that's the pizza story.
Now about the drinks and the rest. My family has tried many of the menu selections, and they're awesome as well. The atmosphere is very comfortable and relaxing, with a mellow jazz vibe, and a beautiful view of the Columbia River. Of course, it's on a pier over the river.
Last word, the service is exceptional, with an authentic Astoria friendliness. See you all at...
