Bought a pack of Virginia Slims ultralights for my stepmother. When she opened the sealed pack they had appeared to have been wet before. I returned to the store shortly after to try to exchange them for a pack that had not been defective only to be told that there's nothing that they can do. I understand that they can't do anything without a manager on site but when I had asked then to make note of the incident so there was something in writing when I returned to speak with the manager on Monday I was informed that they were unwilling to even do that. Chalk Mountain Liquor just lost a dedicated customer who consistently spent about $20 per visit. Today, I went in to buy some drinks, including Arizona Ice Teas clearly marked at 99 cents on the can. However, at the register, they were ringing up at $1.69 +. I pointed out the discrepancy to the cashier, who admitted knowing about it but refused to honor the advertised price.

This is outrageous customer service. It's unacceptable to advertise one price and charge another, especially such a significant difference. Despite living nearby and being a loyal customer for decades, I will never set foot in this store again because of this incident.

Consider this a warning to others and know that you've lost any future...

Its Chalk Mountain Liquor home of the off the hook great deli and so much variety of goodness . fresh hot or cold .... santa maria tri tip sandwitches daily fresh and off the grill ...I even get my gas there and yes they have 88 to 92 octain .everything u can imagine is sold here ..fountain drinks and every beverage non alchoholic and every alchohol possible .this place is a mini everything you need. . Every one of the crew that works and cooks there are friendly and its probley the best liquor store and deli in Atascadero period. Its near a golf course ..27hole .disc golf course ..the 101 freeway ...2 miles from most of us locals who know how great this place is .. 23 miles away from pismo and 27 miles from Cambria...
