Wow...this place is very nice. I came here with my family members as an invited guest with my spouse. I have been a member of my local fitness center for quite a while and this one has twice the activity and twice the equipment available. My spouse went to the fitness class with some of our family members and she really enjoyed the class. I decided to go ahead and walk around to take a look at the facility, so I could complete this review. On the first level, I discovered a daycare type facility for small kids or children to sit and wait while their parents were obviously engaged in the classes or workout. I did note that children or kids under 12 years of age or not allowed to be unaccompanied in the facility. There was a family changing area available as you walked in the main doorway just behind the counters. I had an opportunity to stumble upon the rock wall adjacent to the basketball center. I watched as many both young and old attempt to get to the top of this obstacle. It was difficult for some and easy for others. I did know the excitement and joy on each of their faces. I walked around the upper level to find the treadmills, ellipticals, and the classroom area on the second floor where the Zumba class was currently on going. I eventually found myself back at the front of the facility where they had a spa area and a snack area. The spa area had several stations available for clients to be serviced in this specific area. The Cafe featured a lot of big and small types of food and snacks and drinks. The seating area of the cafe was enough so that one would be able to sit and finish a power snack meal and drink before or after a workout. There was several areas around the fitness center that had some seating available. I did walk out to the pool area and the field to observe the activity. On the field, I observed a client with tires, weights, and a towel getting his workout finished. I saw a family's sitting adjacent to the interior pool which appeared to be a waiting pool on one end for small people or children to play and swim. I observed a lifeguard sitting at the center point watching the area. I looked outside and there was another exterior pool that was being used by clients at...

There were some pros to this place early on. First of all, it seemed very nice and clean. Pools were good and the rock climbing wall was really fun to play around on. The cost seemed reasonable, however this was the first gym I got a membership to so I'm not sure if it is a good value. Now for the issues I have with this place. First off, we had problems in the family changing room early on. My wife was showering with our 3 year old son when one of the employees used their key to unlock the stall to check on the shower when they both were naked in there. No apology was offered, the employee just got out of there as fast as he could. She was too shocked to remember what he looked like, so her report was disregarded at the front desk. The shower stalls in the family room have doors with a large gap underneath them, almost 2" high. There was two other instances where my wife has told me that she had seen a mirror slipped under that gap where someone was peeping. The gym had started being more strict on the family only policy for the family changing room, but single males continued to pass through that room as a shortcut to the outdoor recreation area without being stopped and lone male employees pass through there all the time. Second, there were roaches in the spa. Third, canceling your membership is such a pain in the rear. If you travel a lot for work or whatever reason, or could be relocating soon, make sure you get this place cancelled early. Their policy of handling cancellations in person or signed letter by mail (which you will have to get notarized) is way beyond what I think is reasonable for severing ties with a service provider. You can even cancel your Comcast service over the phone for god sakes. I hate saying never, but I'm so put off by this company that I will never again set foot inside another Lifetime Fitness gym. I wish I could give this place a -5...
