I really liked the atmosphere here. Very quiet and nice place. The food was just ok to us. We were looking for something different and that's what we found, nothing special about the food. I will say the raspberry tea was excellent, even though there aren't any refills on special teas it's served in a HUGE mason jar so one is more than enough!! We ordered the crab puffs and fried spring rolls as an appetizer. Both were just ok, I definitely prefer them over a chinese restaurant. For an the entreè we had shrimp pineapple curry with jasmine rice, crab fried rice and fried egg noodles. The curry was not what I expected it wasn't spicy at all, maybe I should of tried a higher spice level. It came as a broth type serving, which I didn't expect either. The size of the shrimp was decent size and the pineapple pieces were as well. I've only had curry once but I've never seen it served this way. Kind of a let down for me, I recently visited Japan and had curry for the first time there, I was looking for something close to what I had, this missed the mark for me. The crab fried rice is a large portion! Definitely can share it and worth the price. This wasn't my entree but the person who had it, said it was just ok and the crab had a strong smell to it. The fried noodles were ok I think they'd be better in a sauce or broth, just by themselves they were ok. If you've never had Thai before this is a nice place to try, also note their noodles have a sweet taste compared to other noodles. I like it and don't mind the taste but if you're not used to it, you may not like it so much. Like I said if you're looking for something different at a decent price this is a nice place to visit. I will be back to try other dishes!

The food itself was decent. In appetizers, the egg rolls were pretty tasty but the fried tofu was bland and had no seasoning on the tofu or the batter. The sweet and sour sauce they served with appetizers was tasty. Coming to the main course itself, the pad kee maw was spicy as asked and very tasty. The pineapple fried rice was also tasty and good quantity. In the seafood paradise, the squid tasted very bad and second piece of all other seafood became boring quick. Coming to the service itself I would rate it 0/5. The person who was waiting on us was so busy watching TV that he didn't check on us. And the mask he was wearing was not covering his nose. We had to request others for water and check. And one person brought us to go containers without washing hands as she was sweeping the floor. And she cleared the plates and brought the check with the same hands. It was totally unhygienic.

Pros: large portions, tasty food, great service, great value, nice ambiance Cons: kind of cold inside, they don't always have everything on their menu/out of dishes Their Tom kha and Tom yum are fantastic on these cold days! Really pleased with all their specials too, particularly the Massaman beef curry and spicy fried catfish. I was a tiny bit disappointed that they only had mango sticky rice and none of their other desserts, but the flavor was good so I can't complain. Service was absolutely fantastic; our waitresses made sure to check that we didn't have any allergies (we don't, but it was still really nice to ask). They even had some pleasant soft music playing in the background to make our meal feel particularly calming and cozy. I would definitely recommend this place!

Nara Thai in Atascocita is a standout destination for anyone craving authentic, flavorful Thai cuisine in a relaxed and modern setting. Nestled in a convenient shopping center off W Lake Houston Parkway, this location consistently delivers both quality food and an enjoyable dining experience. From the moment you walk in, the space feels clean, stylish, and welcoming. The décor is simple but tasteful, with warm lighting and a calm ambiance perfect for both casual dinners and group gatherings. The restaurant is spacious enough to accommodate families, couples, or even solo diners looking for a quiet meal. The menu is broad but focused, offering traditional Thai dishes like Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, Tom Yum soup, and Green Curry, along with chef specials that elevate the dining experience. Their Pineapple Fried Rice is a must-try—savory, slightly sweet, and beautifully presented. For spice lovers, they don’t hold back; just ask for “Thai hot” if you’re brave. One dish that frequently earns rave reviews is the Mango Shrimp—perfectly cooked shrimp with a sweet and spicy glaze, paired with fresh mango and vegetables. Vegetarians and vegans will also feel right at home here. Nara Thai has an impressive range of plant-based options, and they’re flexible with modifications. Tofu can be substituted in nearly any dish, and staff are knowledgeable about ingredients like fish sauce or oyster sauce if you need to avoid them. Service is generally attentive and friendly, though there are occasional reports of slower service during peak hours. However, the staff is usually helpful, polite, and willing to accommodate special requests. Whether you’re dining in or ordering takeout, the food is consistently fresh and well-prepared. Portion sizes are generous, and pricing is reasonable for the quality of the experience. Overall, Nara Thai is one of the best Thai restaurants in the Atascocita/Humble area. It strikes a great balance between authentic flavors, comfortable ambiance, and thoughtful service. Whether you’re a longtime Thai food lover or new to the cuisine, it’s definitely...

Have ordered here for many years but the last several times have shown this restaurant js going totally down hill; Missing food on to-go orders, charging for tiny containers of sweet and sour sauce, and changes to how they prepare the food so now it tastes different and not nearly as good. Tonight I ordered online at 7:25pm and it said pickup at 8:40pm. I thought that was a long time so at 8:13pm I called to check on my order. Sure enough, the food was already done and waiting for me 25 min before the time they told me to pickup. Now, Prim the manager was great. She apologized profusely and refunded my money. She was very understanding about my concerns and was very nice. It seems they are under new management that has set this place on a massive downward spiral. They are clearly cutting corners everywhere at the expense of the food quality and customer experience. The icing on the cake is that I got my comped meal home and found a hair in it. Absolute disappointment, just plain gross and totally unacceptable. We used to go several times a month and had stopped due to the issues but decided to give it a shot tonight for our date night. Huge mistake. Glad it was already comped because it saved me a trip back up there to get a refund. This new management better go back to how it was, otherwise they’re going to run it...
