This review will be in two parts, experience & food.
Experience: I visited on 9/06 for lunch after getting my car serviced down the street. I had lived in the area for about 2.5yrs but never got the chance to visit but since I was close I figured I’d stop by.
I ordered the chicken Banh Mi w/extra mayo, add an egg. The young man at the window took my order and had me park in front as he would bring it out to me once ready. I waited for my sandwich and within maybe 6-10min the young man brought it out to me & apologized for the wait. I headed to my destination and began to eat my sandwich (which was very delicious) but a couple bites in I noticed I did not have the fried egg nor the jalapeños.
I went back to Sweet Escape and a let the young lady inside know that I didn’t get the fried egg nor the jalapeños. The young lady apologized for the order being wrong and immediately took the sandwich back without issue to the cook and said the cook will make me another one. They made me a new sandwich with the egg and jalapeños, offered me complimentary donuts (I tried their maple glaze with pecans on top & it was really good! First time trying that donut) & gave me a free drink card.
I truly appreciate them for their great customer service in that moment & for correcting a wrong.
Food The Banh Mi I ordered was so good, it was exactly what I needed! The sandwich is huge and will fill you up. Well worth it. The chicken was marinated perfectly, juicy, hot & not heavily chard. The veggies were pickled and had a nice crisp to them. The baguette was perfect.
I will definitely be coming back to try the rest of...

I don’t know what brand they use but the filling is great and doesn’t have a rubbery meat center like some do. Texture is crunchy on the outside and great texture inside. The dipping sauce for the egg rolls is sweet but also spicy perfect combo. I’ve had the kolaches and they taste as good as any around. The jalapeño and cheddar was my favorite. The meat inside was more flavorful than some other kolache places. The drinks are really great too. My favorites are the guava passion fruit slush. And of course the tiger stripe milk tea (brown sugar milk tea) its amazing. Definitely recommend any of these items. They have a ton of flavors to choose from and combination drinks. But be prepared to wait for your food if you order both drinks and food.
My only gripe with the place is they give you your drink first, and then 10-20 mins later your food is brought out. I don’t mind the wait for the food because it’s cooked to order and is always hot and fresh but I really wish they would bring the food and drinks out at the same time (especially in the drive thru) my drink is always half melted by the time my food is ready. So definitely order food first if you’re eating inside then when the food is ready...
Read moreJust no…first time I tried them my order was forgotten so it was never made which means I sat outside for 15 minutes for nothing…then when it was made the middles were still frozen so I had to wait another 15 minutes for a new order…add the 15 minutes I waited in the drive thru before ordering and altogether 45 minutes for macaroni bites and a tea.
Second time visiting…freezer is broken so no ice cream…wish I would’ve known before sitting in the drive thru for 20 minutes…ask if a place called “Sweet Escape” had anything else that was sweet and was told maybe a donut or smoothie…wonderful options…maybe a less misleading name should’ve been suggested if your menu doesn’t have sweets on it…since the car before me had to wait on their order I had an additional 10 minute delay just leaving the drive thru even though I bought nothing..at least have your customers pull in front of the store and park so your drive thru will stay clear…30 minutes for nothing..
After this last time, I will...
