My husband and I stumbled across this gem about a month ago. We both love Greek/lebanese food and usually go Zara’s off Rayford. But we happen to be in Atascocita one day and he saw this place on maps and decided to try it. I didn’t know what my expectations were. We had tried a lot of places prior to finding the one we like (Zara’s) but I am SO GLAD we went.
First off, I have a favorite restaurant that I like to eat at in Louisiana where moved from and it was hard to find a replacement for it. Cafe Petra is as close as it gets to my fav place (in LA). I love it so much so, I haven’t been to Zara’s the last 6x I wanted Greek food. (Which should tell you something). I tend to hyper fixate on stuff I love and this isn’t an exception lol.
We normally order dolmas, the cauliflower dish, the okra moussaka and then we share a Meza 1 and sub the reg hummus for Mediterranean hummus. Oh and you must get a side of their garlic sauce and mix it with the hummus.
Everything is so dang good! I like to wash it all down with a Lebanese tea. And then sometimes I’ll finish the meal off with a baklava cheesecake. The cheesecake is very different but so so yummy (& rich!) According to the servers, it’s all made in house!
If you’re ever in the area, def try it out. They just recently opened in Atascocitq and they have other...

Cafe Petra in Atascocita is a true gem! 💎 From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is so inviting and beautifully decorated, making for a truly lovely dining experience. The staff is incredibly friendly, super attentive, and genuinely caring, adding so much to the welcoming vibe! 🥰 Our server was fantastic – always there when we needed something, but never intrusive. They made us feel right at home! 😊
We tried a variety of dishes, and everything was fresh, piping hot, and bursting with authentic flavors. 😋 The kabob combo plate was a definite highlight – tender meats, perfectly cooked rice, and the creamiest, most delicious hummus! 🤤 The Greek salad was so fresh and vibrant, and the Caesar salad was also fantastic. We also thoroughly enjoyed the savory Kibbeh and the flavorful stuffed grape leaves. So many delicious choices, we wanted to try everything! 🍽️
They have a great menu with plenty of options for everyone, and their lunch menu looks very appealing as well. If you're looking for an amazing Greek & Lebanese meal with top-notch service in Atascocita, Cafe Petra is the place to go! We can't wait to come back for more! ✨

Read moreTwo couples went together to try the cafe at lunch on a Saturday. The dishes ordered were fried cauliflower (appetizer), the gyro platter and the falafel platter. The cauliflower was very good, seasoned well and fried lightly to maintain a succulent dish of flavorful florets. The waitress was exceedingly helpful and suggested that we may want to share platters as the portion sizes tend to be rather large. As four people over 70, this turned out to be a great idea.
The falafel was nicely fried and came with a salad covered in a tangy yogurt based dressing with a hint of mint. A scoop of rice was a welcome treat with the dish and the hummus was excellent.
The other couple had the gyro platter - they both enjoyed the shaved meat. It was also served with a scoop of rice, hummus, salad and a very nice lentil soup. Sadly, the cafe was out of pita bread that day but it would have served as a perfect accompaniment to the hummus.
All parties involved loved the meal, the wait staff and the general ambiance of the cafe. A place to definitely return for...
