Jessie the store manager over both Athens location lied to my face and said my warranty was void, but when I told him another store sent me to him, and said it was good. He called them because he said "Cody was the veteran an he knows more". Then Cody lied and said nothing about the PS5 system was explained when we clearly had a discussion about what cause the issue and was about to give me my replacement but didn't have any digital versions, so he sent me to Athens to get one. So I called the Lexington location just for that person to tell me, " no Jessie was the manager over both locations and had been an employee for 15 years while Cody the so called vet, only been an employee for maybe 2-3 years. THEY CHANGED THE POLICY IN NOVEMBER SO IF YOUR EXPECTATIONS ARE A NEW SYSTEM FOR WARRANTY REPLACEMENT, YOUR WRONG. I HAD TO CALL ANOTHER LOCATION FOR HIM TO EXPLAIN THAT WARRANTY BEFORE NOVEMBER ARE BASICALLY VOID BECAUSE THE POLICY CHANGED AND ONLY CAN GET REFURBISHED ANYTHING, NOT NEW. THEY ALSO TOLD ME HE HAS THE POWER TO GIVE ME ANOTHER NEW SYSTEM IF NO REFURBISHED ARE AVAILABLE BY POLICY!!! Don't let them lie to you, they want to make the most profit by not giving warranties out and will lie to do so. I called corporate and explained and they were not to happy about this situation, avoid Athens location and winder. You want true customer service with honesty and satisfaction, go to any store in Hall county or oakwood. They get the job done no questions asked. Jessie will look at your system and say anything visible is damaged to a scratch, and consider dust dirt or anything in the box an infestation. That was his back up excuse when I proved him wrong. He did not want to give me my replacement what so ever... But hall county did and they also called district to handle this...
Read moreSo I called this store at 6:00 on a Sunday from another GameStop to check and see if they had a game that was out at the one I was at and to check their hours and surprise, surprise no one answers despite their website saying 7:00 p.m. for this location. So I decide to drive to the store and arrive at 6:30 p.m. Upon my arrival I noticed the store is locked up tight with the lights off and everything. Despite the fact that their hours for Sunday are posted clearly on their doors that state they are open until 7:00 p.m. Maybe in the future they can hire employees that can tell time. Or maybe some that can read so they can realize that they need to change the hours on their door.
