I had an absolutely horrible experience in the Sayre Aldi today. I had my mIām who is completely Blind, and My two year old daughter with me, a challenge to begin with. We were checking out and I had to take my daughter out of the cart as the cashier rang us out( no big deal of course) after this my daughter took off to running from me straight to the door. Of course I needed to run after her to get her. Meanwhile The cashier is yelling at my mom to move so she can pay. My mom tells the cashier she is blind and canāt see and needs assistance. The cashier continues to be very rude to her and offers no help to her as Iām running after my daughter. I get back and my toddler is now mad because sheās been caught, and Iām trying to run moms card to pay for her items to please the cashier while receiving nasty looks from the cashier the entire time. As we walk away she starts talking about us to her coworker. I move over to the bagging area and I put my daughter on the counter so she wonāt escape. I read the sign that says āno sitting, standing, or running on the tableā so I know she shouldnāt be up there but I either had to do that or let her run away from me. Iām trying to keep my daughter content as Iām trying to bag my own groceries and my moms. At this point the cashier says a very nasty comment to her coworker. That comment along with all of her dirty looks makes me never want to go back to that store again. And just to make things worse I canāt even call and talk to a manager as Aldi doesnāt have phone numbers to call. I did do a complaint online but I donāt feel like that is very personal. It bothers me because 1.) A mom shouldnāt be shamed because her toddler is just being a toddler. She wasnāt being bad, she was just being a two year old. 2.)My mom felt discriminated against. The cashier wouldnāt assist her or even ask how she could assist - I feel like this should be a normal whether your a customer or an employee. (Especially since as an employee itās probably in their code of conduct) 3.) When has it become normal for someone to talk in a work environment about a customer without even being discreet about it? I usually donāt share these types of things of Facebook, but my heart is feeling like itās important to share that just being nice and helpful is so important, whether youāre doing your job or an innocent bystander. Especially for a mom who already struggles with a strong, independent, active toddler. I now feel defeated, which I know I shouldnāt feel defeated, and itās only 4:00 on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI usually like shopping at aldi stores .I moved upstate here from downstate 3 hours away and aldis I went to was very friendly staff and clean and had at least 2 lines open considering downstate had alot more people coming in it wasn't in country.I am still shopping at this aldis cause there is no other near me now or I would go to another. But aldis is cheaper than other stores so I need to.To me it feels and looks like aldis sayre,pa cares more about employees than they do customers. The managers should be letting employees stock at a less busier time than the morning and preferably at closing when no customers are there. There are more employees stocking shelves and their is only 1 line open. And those employees stocking shelves are very rude they take over the whole part of an isle and don't try to pass their hard of hearing or they don't look happy to move for you.And the new carts are nice but with this stocking shelves issue there's definitely no room they block you from shopping and are very rude.Once in awhile you get a nice cashier. They are fast but they sling things inside the cart and don't care about produce either my bananas end up bruised alot.During covid in 2020/2021 when it was worse I feel we should of kept are own cart but we had to still switch some cashiers wiped it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat can I say I love this place with all the non-GMO food and wonderful service. I saved money all the time going here! I will say: NEVER DO Instacart from Aldi's or a PICKUP DELIVERY from them because some of the people who manage the shopping for delivery or pick-up are not good at their jobs. I have ordered groceries 3 times and I wouldn't do it over again! I paid for a Thanksgiving turkey that they never gave me and rudely told me that they don't have it and that they never have carried that particular turkey even though it was on my app and I paid for it ! I still haven't gotten a refund for that. They also gave me moldy raspberries and it took them over a half an hour to look for two items that they forgot to put in my order so I had to go inside to get the things they forgot to put in my bag and she kept getting my stuff confused with other people's orders. Love Aldi's just don't love the pickup /...
