After having one of the worst customer service experiences with my previous cellular carrier, I decided do make a trip to my local AT&T (Sayre) to see if they could help me. I had bought an unlocked S24 and was told I could activate it with the carrier I had previously used but that was not the case and no one could help me. I'm here to say I am so very glad I decided to make the switch to AT&T/FirstNet. The young man who helped me, Chris was outstanding! Working long hours myself, I wasn't able to get to the store until 6:15 when they close at 7. Chris was happy to help me even though it was later in the evening. Even though we ran into some trouble getting my phone number moved over (a StraightTalk issue, not AT&T issue), Chris remained calm and did everything in his power to help me out. His knowledge and expertise are unparalleled. While we waited for things to resolve, Chris was kind and attentive to the customer service experience. He was down to earth and remained engaging with me as he tried to resolve the issues. Unfortunately we were unable to move my phone number yesterday but I was able to go back this evening again and work with Chris again. He was able to activate my phone with the same phone number which was super important to me for work purposes. My experience at Sayre AT&T again this evening was very positive. While we waited for everything to move over, Chris (and his coworker, Ryan) were so nice and engaging with fun and interesting conversation to pass the time while everything was put into place. Chris put the screen protector and case on for me as I was nervous mess up a new phone and I knew it was probably in better hands with him. He worked hard and tirelessly to get me the best plan possible for my needs and was impressively knowledgeable with any questions I asked. I am so impressed and appreciative of the experience I have had thus far with switching to AT&T and am so thankful to have nice, kind, and knowledgeable staff like Chris at the Sayre AT&T location to help me out for any of my...
Read moreChris was so incredibly helpful! There were a lot of hurdles with merging my account, figuring out access to my accounts, ordering things, etc. He never quit trying his hardest and inevitably (with lots of hard work and determination), got everything figured out, and got us more than we expected! It was the best retail experience I think I have ever had, to be honest. Thank you for helping us with one of my least favorite things (phone shopping, repair, and setting up a new line 😅) and making it the least frustrating experience of them all! He definitely deserves a raise!
There was another associate, Ryan, who also helped with the initial process of getting my screen fixed and I'd like to give him kudos as well!
10/10 recommend going to Sayre ATT, don't waste the gas/energy on going to the larger stores in Elmira/Vestal. This place is a one stop shop with fantastic...
Read moreGreat experience at Sayre location this afternoon, especially since I had never been to this store before today. Bobby listened with patience and kindly backed up my phone contacts and pictures while I was talking and worrying about my phone being ready for cellphone morgue. He explained that sometimes when cellphones lock up and shut down it can take a few hours for them to come back on. Bobby said my phone is fine and a new phone is not needed much to my relief. I'm a senior with only my income and current economic situation is hitting hard. A day that didn't start too well this morning became a great day with Bobby's help. And you can park right in front of the store which is located between Arby's a PA liquor store. No excuses not to go to...
