Peddler's Junction — Local services in Athens

I love flea markets. Especially ones that stay open normal shopping hours! This place has artisan booths and picker booths. I think there are wholesalers and pallet purchasers, as well. There are plenty of well priced items. The booths also can have sales. It's nice and simple because if a particular booth has a sale, it must be every item marked with their vendor number. So if they want to have a 20% week - their whole booth is 20% off. And they must clearly post the beginning and end dates. No guessing! This Athens store is much bigger and has lots more space between booths. The cashier was likable, as well.

(Ps- This Athens location is MUCH better than the Lancaster one SIMPLY because it is open later!!!!! (I'm guessing at 45 minutes til close the clerks at this location don't start counting down, announcing when it's time to leave every 5 minutes, either). The Lancaster location seriously makes the customer feel so unwanted and like we're a nuisance. They're short with the customer and sometimes give attitude. Like, dang, It's 6:00! They need to chill out with that. It's so irritating. TBH... They just make me take up the entire time til close, even if I didn't...

I feel the same.This was very unprofessional.Especially when it was the assistant manager that said she would hold it.Only to get up there and find someone else with the dog crate.Then the assistant manager changed on us and said they were not allowed to hold anything.When she should have told the woman who was buying it that she was sorry but she did tell us she would hold it and sold it to us.Why was this not said at the beginning.It would have been paid for and taken out to our vehicle.Her excuse was it was up there for a couple of hours.Excuse me but it is a huge store and we were trying to see all the vendors booths and trying to buy things from alot of different vendors.Say one thing and do another.I have no use for that kind of treatment.1st time there and will definitely be our last.My apologies to all the vendors who lost out on money today.But after that we were not buying what we had in our cart (Which was probably over $200...

What a shame that I spent 3 hours or more going through this large store as we had never been there and drove an hour to get there. I found a portable dog crate for my daughters dog and was to big to get in the cart so went up front and asked if they had somewhere they could put it till we was done and the assistant manager said yes she would keep it behind the desk. When we finished and got up front only to see a lady buying it when I asked about it they said it had been there for awhile so they put it back. They never used their intercom to see if I was still there and allowed the other lady to buy it. Had I known I would have paid for it and taken it to my car but they said they would hold it. So I left a full cart sorry the other vendors missed out but I wasn't going to buy...
