ALDI — Local services in Athens

I love Aldi. Their chocolate bars are reason enough to make that extra grocery stop. They also consistently have the lowest prices on groceries.

Aldi is small. This is an advantage since you know immediately if they carry something and your shopping trip is quick. I like it even more since I have little kids and if they run off its impossible for them to be further than 2 aisles away.

The produce is hit and miss for me, but if you're choosey then you can get great stuff at a great price.

You have to pay with cash or debit. I always forget and swipe my credit card. The cashiers are always really nice about reminding me.

The manager at this Aldi is really nice and super helpful if there's a spill, etc. Shopping with kids here is great since the store is small and it's impossible for them to get lost.

On dec 24, 2024. I bought 100 dollar Amazon gift card at this AlDI store. I try to redeem the card immediately after purchasing in store, but there is not valid code for this gift card l.i talked with the cashier and manager, I can not get the refund. The sale is final. The manager said there was something wrong with Amazon gift card, but ALDI still put the Amazon gift card in the shelf for sale. If anybody purchased the gift card and walk out, then there would be more complicated problems. I don’t think it is right to sell the product if the Aldi already knew it. I used to love Aldi before they changed lay out of store. Now produce does not look as good and some items they carried which I always purchased they don't even have. It was one of two stores I could find certain items and I don't go to other store because it is huge. Now, I will just have to go without because I can't do the huge store. I also hate that they no longer have all the drinks together. iI won't be shopping there any more. I am sooo disappointed with Aldi now. I don't know how this store is ADA compliant.
