I have been a loyal, avid supporter/customer of Lost and Found for just about 10 years. Until today and I will never set foot inside the store again! I have bought clothing, shoes, art, furniture, etc. and have, additionally, made donations. In the past, I have always been treated with respect and had good relationships with management throughout these 10 years. I also even promoted Lost and FOund on my Facebook and Instagram pages and WAS preparing to feature Lost and Found on my podcast and web presence now in development. After today that will not happen. I was turned away and treated like I was there to shoplift because I didn't want to check my bag. I didn't object when asked and exited the main area. I sat for a few minutes to rest in the foyer as I'd walked there and wanted to cool down since I didn't get a chance to shop. The manager followed me and said I wasn't allowed in the store with my bag and this wasn't his rule. I left immediately w/o protest. I was never made to feel unwelcome or treated as if I posed a threat to Lost and FOund. I found this really strange after I'd just been there on Monday, today is Wednesday, and I was asked to have my temperature checked, which I did w/o protest. No mention was made of my backpack and shopped w/o incident and bought some really nice items. I won't go back after today. I don't like being made to feel that I am a threat or a shop lifter when I wear a mask, wore gloves in the beginning of COVID, and have joyously supported and promoted this great...
Read moreIâve been incredibly impressed with the improvements at Lost & Found! The pricing is fair and transparentâdefinitely a great value for money. My recent visits to the store have been nothing short of amazing, thanks to the outstanding customer service provided by Daniel and the friendly team. Daniel went above and beyond to assist me, not only helping carry my furniture but even taking the time to clean it thoroughly before loading it into my car. When I thanked him, he surprised me with a heartfelt explanation of what my purchase was truly supporting. Lost & Found is not just a store; itâs a lifeline for LGBTQ+ ! youth whoâve been kicked out of their homes due to prejudice. Daniel shared how this organization provides a structured, 90-day program that offers education, job training, and life skills to these young individuals. Participants save 60% of their earnings, and at the end of the program, they are set up in fully furnished apartments in their name, ready to pursue their dreams. This mission touched me deeply. Lost & Found is not just about helping customers like meâitâs about changing lives and creating a brighter future for the community. Special thanks to Daniel and Gary, who made my visit memorable and meaningful. Gary also let me know about their incredible monthly 50% off sale every first Monday. Lost & Found is more than a store; itâs a movement, and Iâll be visiting every chance I get to support their incredible work. Hats off to the team for making...
Read moreEncountered one of the nastiest, rudest Black Ladys I have ever in my days!! Im assuming it was a Manager of some sort.
Id called ahead and spoken with a guy, letting him know I had some clothes and shoes to donate, he said cool as long as I got there before 6 which I did. Got there at 5:55 on the nose.
As I walked in this lady was standing there with a nasty disposition and face all balled up. Stating they were closed, I then looked at the guy standing behind the counter and said "Hey I literally just spoke with you"
He then proceeds to look at the lady and says "She's here to donate"
The lady then asks do I have a lot of items, I said somewhat, its clothes and shoes in my trunk. She rolls her eyes and huffs then states "I can put them on the floor"
I said "I will take them somewhere else"
Im not putting designer clothes with tags on NOBODYS nasty floor first off, then Im not pressed to donate and def wont to a place with such a nasty attitude. Y'all aren't doing me any favors!! I could sell the things I have to be honest, but I know my heart was in the right place trying to donate. I use to be a Manager at a shoe store, so all the shoes were new or worn once. She def ran away a MAJOR blessing!! Y'all need to tight up and wonder why nobody is eager to...
