So I purchased an Insignia washing machine (out of box). Immediately as I got home and plugged it in I got an F8 code on the screen. I tried unplugging the washer , plugged it back in and the F8 code keeps reappearing. I did some research and it said that it was common for this to happen especially on out of box insignias. So anyways I wasn’t able to wash any of my clothes. So I reached out to Best Buy and I upgraded to just a brand new insignia. I just paid the price difference. Only because it’s in my price range. Best Buy picked up the faulty one and delivered the new one. As soon a the technician delivered the brand new and went to test it, It flooded half my laundry room. Like water just poured out from underneath the washer. He confirmed that water is coming from the drum because the drum is damaged. He called customer service and explained to them that this young lady has had two washing machines deliver and both are faulty and she deserves an upgraded. Now mind you I’m standing by the technician listening in on the call. The lady on the other end agreed that she will upgrade me and she will give me a call as soon as she disconnects. That was 11/29/24 7:30am. Today is 11/30/24 11:14am. I still haven’t even received a call from anyone. Now I’m forced to called Best Buy again myself. I’ve missed out on work just to again received a second washer machine that is defective. Below is the picture of the technician and a black towel that is soaked from all the water that come out of the washer machine.
Update. Yesterday I was told I would receive an upgrade at no cost. I’ve been on live chat since 11:28 it is now 1:18. These people are trying to get me now to pay for an upgrade after I was promised an upgrade at no cost. And also a refund. This is ridiculous. And mind you I have this all on recording. I recorded the entire conversation of the customer service lady agreeing to give me an upgrade at no cost. Plus a full refund. It’s been two damn weeks of no working...
Read moreOnly giving an extra star because the manager on duty helped me out with my replacement plan, but really otherwise from the moment i stepped in this store service was poor. As I walked in, there was 5 employees in eye sight. Two by some fixtures near the entrance, two in the first part of the laundry units, and one standing back in a corner semi near the registers. I went to the registers to get some help and no one was there. I stood there for a few minutes thinking one of the 5 people that I saw would either greet me, acknowledge me, or at least send someone my way to help me. Nothing. After maybe 4 mins, someone came out from a door semi-behind the registers so I thought maybe I was going to get some help; instead he just walked right by me. At this point I spoke up as he was walking by to ask if someone could help me. Not slowing down while responding, he responds “I’ll get someone,” as he continues walking without stopping at all. Finally someone helps me. At this point, I get the only real good service in which the manager on duty says they don’t typically do a service return, but said he would take care of me instead of sending me to the Federal Way Best Buy. Other than that, the service was just really sad. It’s disappointing too because I use to shop at Best Buy all the time. I still try and find reasons to come into a store. I was excited to hear this Outlet Store was opening and was thrilled to read online you can still process other stuff there too, but walking into this type of service where no one seem to want to help you; where you’re more a “bother” than a customer, that’s really...

I visited the Best Buy Outlet in Auburn, WA and was shocked by what felt like a staged scam. Dozens of refrigerators were clearly marked with massive discounts — $431.99, $521.99, 85% off — yet when I tried to buy any of them, I was told “we can’t sell it at that price” with no explanation whatsoever.
The manager refused to communicate respectfully. He was dismissive, cold, and outright rude — as if I was doing something wrong by simply trying to buy a product at the listed price.
The entire experience felt deeply dishonest. You walk in, see the discounts, get your hopes up — and then you’re treated like an idiot. No answers, no options, just a stone wall.
I contacted customer support and got the same evasive attitude: “We’ll look into it.” Nothing.
This is not just misleading advertising. It’s intentional bait-and-switch, manipulation, and complete disregard for customers. It’s a psychological game where they pull you in with fake deals and frustrate you into overspending.
I’ve filed formal complaints with the Washington State Attorney General and the BBB, and I strongly encourage others to do the same.
Until Best Buy holds its outlet stores accountable, I will never shop there again — and I recommend others avoid this place...
