I needed to update my review but I left my original review so you can read it and see how much better the experience improved after I spoke to the manager. I did call the manager the Monday after my visit. You can read it and his comment below. Johnathon and Brett turned a terrible experience into one of the best. He did exactly what his response said he would do. Yes he did go above and beyond…far beyond what I expected. If I have ever had a bad experience turn fantastic this would be the one. We choose these store for the impeccable customer service and knowledge they offer and I am confident Spicer’s will deliver. Jonathon at Spicer’s really did more than make up for any issue I had that day. I got a world class guitar and it came from a business that stands behind their reputation. If you have an issue give them a chance to make it right and I have no doubt the customer is #1 here. I left a photo of my new guitar and best friend that came from Spicer’s. I have wanted a D-18 forever and they helped me have a dream come true.
I called twice to veirfy they were taking trades. I wanted to trade an Epiphone Les Paul to which they did not want and a Martin D10E to which they told me on two separate calls they would accept pending verification of condition. After driving 100 miles/2hours one way they declined any trade and would not verify the condition of the Martin D10E. So I left and will take it up with the manager and leave this review. Coincidentally i saw the guitar on Reverb which they are listed as a preferred reverb account but based on my experience i will have to decline doing business with them in the future and if you choose to do so good luck. -5 star for...
Read moreA few weeks before Christmas, my daughter asked for a light up keyboard. I was frantically looking to order a particular Casio model online or from local store, but the model I was looking for was sold out everywhere I looked. I live in New Hampshire, but I found this keyboard on Spicer's Music website and ordered it. The following day, Tyler contacted me by email and by phone and told me the model I was looking for had be discontinued and was sold out. The newer replacement was $20 more, and Tyler offered to add in a sustain pedal for free (valued at $19.99). After telling Tyler I was also looking to get a keyboard stand, bench, and headphones; he put together a package of these additional items for under $100. The entire package safely arrived to my home in plenty of time before the holiday. My daughter is thrilled with her Christmas gifts, and this will give her something different to focus on during this time of remote learning. Although we live in New Hampshire, I will definitely consider contacting Tyler at Spicer's for any musical purchases and/or online lessons in the...
Read moreI have been trying to teach myself guitar on a cheap acoustic that I picked up from a pawnshop awhile ago. The action on the guitar was pretty intense and it rattled like crazy, which made practicing a bit of an unpleasant experience. I stopped by Spicer's today to talk with someone and browse their selection. Let me start by saying that Jessie rocks! She was very welcoming and encouraging which is huge for a beginner like me. After browsing and learning about several of the guitars they had, my eyes were set on a beautiful Martin Koa X. I immediately felt the difference. After we settled on the guitar, Jessie helped me with a couple additional items and answered my remaining questions. Once I got home and started strumming, I realized I had made the right choice. Thank you for your time and patience! ...
