A few previous visits were good but the rude person working there yesterday ensured I will not return. Tried to be polite, she wasn't having it. Said I'd just been at Goodwill, her: "They're just filthy in there, and overpriced." What a winning comment. Said OK I'm out looking for mirrors today for a project- she shows me a couple that are a little too large for my project and not in the price range I wanted. To call it hard selling would be understating that drama. As I politely declined she tells me if I pass up her beveled mirror at this price I'm a fool. OK. I again tried to humor this person and say I really don't know what size dimensions I need because it's just really a thought at this point not a serious project so I'm looking for smaller mirrors. She glares at me and says we'll you know what you ought to do? Try taking wall measurements before you go out looking for mirrors. Or take them and get them cut, it's costs a whole two dollars." I just went to this shop I was promptly greeted by an elderly woman. She proceeded to tell me to spend time in every space one by one. I said ok. I then kept walking. She then began telling me that I said ok to her instructions. However, I passed up two spaces without looking. I then informed her that I did not need a tutorial on how to shop and that perhaps I did not want to shop as she had directed me to do so. And then said you are right and proceeded to carry on with small talk. I suggested to her that we just conclude our conversation as I had already found her to be annoying. I then promptly left. I am not certain what happened with "Justin" that left a poor review but I'm wondering if Justin may have reviewed the wrong shop by accident? I have known the Owner of Too Much Stuff for years and have witnessed nothing but excellent customer service in this shop. She goes above & beyond for her customers and is the least confrontational person that I know in this business. If she was making recommendations for sizing of a mirror, I am most certain she was trying to be helpful as opposed to being snarky. That just does not fit her persona.
