I am literally in the parking lot writing this to ensure I don't forget because I am so impressed with the Five Below staff member I just encountered. Her name is Riley and she truly went above and beyond today's retail associate standards. I came into the store today to purchase last minute Hello Kitty school supplies for my 7 year old daughter. After getting to the counter I voiced my newly established distain for Cinnamoroll due to his face being plastered all throughout my child's bedroom. After some banter following my statement I then expressed my need for a feminine product and asked if she knew whether Kohls had them so I could avoid the Hellscape that is Walmart. She informed me that they actually carried them in store and even went to retrieve them for me. She then pointed me in the direction of the restroom. These niceties may seem mundane to some. However, those of us who've been around to witness the decline of society the past 10 years or more know all to well that alongside that has gone work ethic and personality in general. So, with that being said, wonderful job Riley. You were a pleasure to interact with and I hope Five Below recognizes the value you're positive demeanor brings to their...
Read moreI had the absolute worst customer experience at five below today. I am a regular customer and today I went in and grabbed the things I wanted then went to pay. As the cashier was ringing things up for me she was eating. I asked her to please put her food away. (Not only is this unacceptable it's gross ... She's touching money then eating). (I mean don't the employees get breaks??) She then begins to scream profanities at me.... In front of very small children. I asked to speak to the manager she refused. So I asked another employee to get the manager. I asked for the girls name she refused to give it to me. Finally the manager comes over and sends the employee to the back. I find out her name was Yvonne. Customers started leaving the store while this was happening. I had my client with me who has a developmental disability and she literally scared my client. If this is acceptable behavior from the employees then I surely will not be returning. Yvonne definitely deserves to be fired for her behavior. Don't people realize customers are the ones that give the employees their paychecks? Without customers there would be...
Read moreThe biggest attraction, besides pricing, is their candy section. From various selections of Haribo Gummies, to Movie Theater candy and beyond, this place has it and at much better amount for the price than most places. at the Back there is a section of T-Shirts at $5 a piece, some that I've seen elsewhere for almost $20. Movies, Video games, and books are always changing so if you find something be sure to grab it because it may be gone the next time, and at $5 or less it's a no-brainer compared to the regular price printed on the back cover. The staff are always helpful and smiles so infectious that it always seems that I leave happier than I was...
