I'll start with a positive, everyone here is extremely nice and have been well rehearsed in customer service. That's where it ends.

Event date was Saturday, August 16, 2025. The entire wedding party came to be fitted in June. Everyone was measured and had paid for their tuxedo rental. We were told and it stated in the contract that everyone's tuxedo would be in the Wednesday before the event. To our advantage they came in 1-2 weeks prior to the event. Jackets, pants, shirts and shoes were sizes off. The groom and 3 of the 5 groomsmen had to make not one but 4 trips to be refitted for these tuxedos. On Thursday, two days before the event the groom and one groomsmen went to pick up their jackets and again were sized wrong. We were assured that they would order them and have them in their building the next day, Friday. Friday comes, I call to confirm the shipment was there, I was assured by an older gentleman that the shipment had come in and their jackets were ready. They drive down there to pick them up and they were not there. Livid at this point but still trying to extend grace, I spoke with the in store manager about this trying to explain the huge inconvenience this is because the wedding was the next day and they were scheduled to take pictures at noon an hour away from Surrey Center which left little time for alterations if needed. I asked her if she could guarantee the jackets be in and she couldn't give any guarantees. I asked what her back up plan was and she said we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. That was not a comforting response and gave absolutely no resolution, we were not extended any compensation for our major inconvenience at all. The jackets did arrive at 10:30 the day of the wedding, thankfully they fit. We returned all tuxedos back Sunday the day after the event. I received a text stating that if we did not return tuxedos we would be charged a late fee. I called the store and they just said ignore the text, I pressed and made them put their eyes on the return to make sure they had them, even though I did in fact hand it over to them.

I truly hope this was a one time total mess up that spiraled into not only a nightmare for us but for them too. I hope lessons were learned and they grow as a team from this. My lesson is never under any circumstances rent anything from this company. Good riddance...

I've been a lifelong customer of JosABank and have always had a very positive experience with them. However, I've been extremely disappointed with the level of service I've received at their Augusta store in Surry Center. My wife and I went in to get a new suit for an upcoming wedding. I told them I was looking for a slim style suit in the bright blue. The salesman had me try on a traveler jacket and wrote down the info on his business card and told us they would be on sale the next week. We went for lunch next door and then my wife realized I hadn't tried the pants on so we went back. I'm 6'3 178lbs so I'm very slim. My wife explained to the salesman we wanted the slim fit style suit that would fit my frame the best. He added that info to the card. I purchased 2 shirts and 2 ties that day. When I got home, my wife found the one shirt wasn't my size and needed to be returned- a slight inconvenience but I had to go back to order the suit anyway. I went back the next week, placed the order but didn't try anything in since I already had and it was written down on the card. When the suit came in, I went to pick it up and the pants were too big in the waist bc they ordered the wrong size, so they charged me $31 to tailor them, which was their mistake. When I brought the suit home and tried it on for my wife she said "those pants look huge on you!" And she was right, they were huge through the legs. I took the whole suit back and explained I wanted the slim fit pants and these were clearly not right, they argued with me and said the tailored fit jacket doesn't come with slim fit pants, I told them then they must've ordered the wrong suit and I wanted a new one. They said they would tailor the pants to make them a slimmer fit and needed to take 2" out of each leg- which tells you how big they were. Here is the ridiculous part- they were going to charge me again for alterations! I told them I would absolutely not be paying for any more alterations and they needed to correct their mistake. They were not very gracious or apologetic about any of this. What can I say? I'm a very dressed-down, jeans or shorts, and sweatshirt kind of guy. I dust off the old oversized suit and tie from 5-10 years back whenever I have to go to a formal event. I'm very much a data and statistics person and have no interest in dress styles, fads, colors, themes, or any of that shenanigans.

However, after working with Arnell on Highland Ave in Augusta, GA, and my fiancée for an extensive amount of time the other day, I can almost say I was having fun. I had to prep for engagement photos, a court wedding, and the ceremony day, each somehow requiring its own suit. With Arnell's expert advice on different shirts, ties, coats, pants, colors, handkerchiefs, etc., I walked out of there with so much more confidence for all my upcoming events.

Overall, it was a more pleasant experience than I was expecting. We laughed, made jokes, cringed at mismatched clothing, but came out much better on the other side. I can't imagine having anyone else but Arnell assist in finding the next best suit in the future. Arnell is very down-to-earth, listens to comments and concerns, answered all of our questions, and educated us on the smallest nuances without being pedantic. He was just as excited to see the outcome as we were when trying on different outfits, and his energy kept us going for much longer than the quick in-and-out that I was expecting.
