Wing Express — Restaurant in Augusta

I don’t see how this place is rated so high. It’s dirty inside and the food is not fresh at all. You can tell all the food is cooked days in advance. Their wings are incredibly small but may be the only fresh thing on the entire menu.The sesame chicken was not fresh at all, very chewy and rough as if it had been cooked days before and reheated. Their “vegetable lo mein” is a joke. The only vegetables they use are cabbage and onions. I specifically asked for broccoli the second chance I gave them and they put TWO pieces of broccoli in my order of Vegetable Lo Mein. How is it “vegetable” if the only vegetables they use are cabbage and onion? I tried this place multiple tries and every time was a disappointment. Last time was a no go because they had roaches according to their score with the health department. Guess I am just spoiled and used to quality Chinese food. I'm new to Augusta. This place was highly recommended. His enthusiasm about the food was so off-the-chart, that i IMMEDIATELY paid them a visit. The crowdedness and the looong wait for the food convinced me that this was going to be a delectable meal! I even challenged myself to overlook the HORRIBLE service! All i want Augusta to know is this.....if this restaurant ranks anywhere near your top places for Chinese cuisine, then i am OVERWHELMINGLY sad for you (and now for me)! I would have even given them the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to being just one of their 'off' days if ANY of my food was decent! That's right....NOTHING i ordered was palatable, and i spent a "pretty penny"! And even worse, my interminably long wait was exacerbated because my food was sitting off to the side, completely forgotten. Maybe it’s just me, but I have never ordered chow Mein at any other Chinese restaurant and only gotten veggies in sauce. I even googled because I was just shocked and every picture that comes up has NOODLES. I called them just to check and sure enough she said that their restaurant only does veggies in their chow mein. And when I told her she might want to clarify that in the future for future guests since that’s just not the norm in other restaurants, she seemed surprised. But then she went into a big explanation, like she expected me to call because she remembered our order (which is strange) that “next time we need to order the low mein because it has soft noodles not crispy noodles.” To which I responded “oh so the chow mein should have crispy noodles?” And she paused and said “ oh not ours, it’s just veggies.” So she literally caught herself in her own lie because she didn’t want to fix an order mistake.
